Our old pool cleaner stopped working and so I looked around for a new one. I saw the one I'd wanted but it was nearly four times the price of this one!! Way too much money so I decided to give this VINGLI Pool Vacuum a go. I'm very happy I did. We have a 20,000 gallon in ground concrete pool that loves to get dirty from the kids dragging in sand and the wind whirling pine needles and whatever else into it. For the past three weeks this pool cleaner has been going to town keeping our pool sparkling clean. I am absolutely shocked at how well it works given its very low and reasonable price tag. I can tell the quality isn't nearly as good as some name brands but what would you expect for a quarter of the cost. Still totally worth it. It came with plenty of hose and several attachments to fit a wide variety of setups. We have a dedicated vac suction line so plug it in there. I am using the supplied hoses (some people try to use their old hoses and have issues so just use what is supplied and designed for it) and have had zero issues. It also came with extra parts like a diaphragm incase you need one down the road which is really nice. I believe it could clean the sides all the way up to the water level if I set the pump higher and cleaned out the line and filter. However, as we have it set at around 2500rpm, my filter is probably dirty and my skimmer and main drain are partially open, it only makes it up about half way. It also will not go on the stairs which is normal as far as I know. I am very happy with it and as long as it lasts a few years or more, would gladly buy again. ... show more

I had my doubts at 1st! After moving the weights around on the hose made it work. it gets up on the sides and even gets any alge off the sides. Our pool is an inground, does a better job than the MX6 All day!

    • can't beat it for the price
I bought this a few weeks ago and have the chance to put it through its paces a few times. I'm rather happy with how it cleans. This is replacing an Intex vacuum that lasted 2 whole seasons, or least I hope it was 2 seasons. God, I buy too much stuff on Amazon..... Anyway, the hoses are easy to set up and connect. I have it hooked up through the skimmer, which is hooked up to an Intex sand filter. There is plenty of suction from the sand filter to make this work. The vacuum even goes up the side nicely. The only complaint that I have is that is does seem to take forever to clean my 22' round Intex above ground pool. I just end up leaving the pump/vacuum running overnight.     • It cleans the pool, what can I say?
I bought a house 3 weeks ago and it didn't have a pool cleaner and everything was new to me. Pool shops all said I should spend at least $500 for a decent cleaner and I thought that was outrageous. I read reviews and looked at ratings and decided that if this broke in 6 months it would still be worth it to buy it again as long as it worked, so I took the chance. This thing is great. Sure it's not smart, it doesn't have in-line filtration, it won't navigate to not miss spots, but I'll be damned if it didn't leave pretty lines on my pool bottom the moment I hooked it up. It's got a big surface to wipe away algae and dirt and the adjustable suction knob lets you balance the flow into your pump. I have a 1.5 HP pool pump so I set the valve almost all the way open so the pump could still get decent flow and the cleaner climbs walls and cleans perfectly. In person it doesn't look quite as weird as in the pictures and when it's in the water you don't care anyway. The suction uses a rubbery tube that gets forced closed and open from the pool pump. That's what makes this thing move. I have had some rocks get stuck in the suction hole and make it stop moving, but there shouldn't be rocks in your pool anyway, and you just turn off your pump, unscrew and pull out the suction tube, then remove the rock. Really couldn't be simpler. And since it's such a simple design there are only so many things that can go wrong. The manual even has a surprisingly thorough troubleshooting guide written in broken English: Cleaner not move? Check suction diaphragm. Overall well worth the money and cleans just as well as name brand $500 cleaners. ... show more

UPDATE OCT 14, 2023 Same issue as I had before. It seems the tube that you put the diaphragm into, on the end where the diaphragm is, is made of cheap plastic. It breaks and then the unit doesn’t work. It’s already been replaced once. The unit should last longer than a year. UPDATE JULY 7,2022 - wrote to them - sent a picture and they replaced the part. The new one looks like it is heavier duty. I have to give them 5 stars again. The vacuum works perfectly, and is 1/3 the cost of a Barracuda- AND now I know the company backs its products. Thumbs up. UPDATE - one year later and the plastic head BREAKS in several places while it’s running overnight. Wake up in the morning to a useless Piece of equipment. These should last more than a year!! I had a barracuda brand name Pool cleaner for 20 years. It was on its last legs. Replacing with brand name was quite expensive so I thought I’d take my chances on the Vingli. So glad I did. Works just like my barracuda did when it was new. Doesn’t get stuck anywhere. Pool is sparkling clean again. Has great suction, and there was practically no assembly required just a couple pieces to the main device and I plugged into my existing hoses. It even came with more hose sections, so I’ll save those until needed. If it continues to work this well, I’ll be super pleased. UPDATE - 8 months later I am having problems getting it to move. The diaphragm doesn’t work. I’ve replaced it twice with one made by AMI bought on Amazon. Am buying a different brand to see if the AMI ones are faulty. If the new ones don’t work, then I’ll have to say there is something wrong with this product. UPDATE- bought different ones - works like a charm. ... show more
