I bought this bench actually as a raised platform for my local crows. It smells wonderfully of evergreen upon opening. To be on the safe side, I went ahead and coated with with Roxil's Wood Waterproofing Cream before taking it outside. I would give this 5 stars but I had a heck of a time putting this together. The holes didn’t quite line up so I did get it put together but it took some effort.
