I must have looked at 20 different "bar height swivel / non-swivel chairs". This one came in at the heavier capacity and a good price that look like it would meet my needs. After my research and several review of reviews I figured I am chancing it. I am glad I did the chairs are great , the powder coating is good, stability good, and although they were a little high ( 39" to the top of the side rail) I did trim the legs down by 2.5" so they will fit under my bar lounge based on the apron. Also this made my wife happier because she is 5' and made it easier to getting up on the chair , I am 6'2" and it still feels great . I used the chair for a while to see that it is comfortable before I put the rest together. As a helpful assembly hints please note a few other items if you do purchase these as you put them together follow the four diagrams per manufacturer. As for diagram #1 when putting the back of the chair on it is easier to put the screws in the bottom holes first add the inside bushing ( between the seat bottom area and the back of chair) by just statring the threads ( this gives you wiggle room) for aligning the top two screws and fishing the bushing in between the arm rest and back of chair. Than you can snug all screws and finish tightening them. Diagram #2 Once again start all screws before tightening them and you will need to wiggle swivel plate some what to align holes, once screws are started you can align swivel easier and snug screws, than finish tightening. Diagram #3 is putting the foot rest on ( which is at a great height between seat and legs). Make sure you have the drain holes facing down. Once again start all screws before tightening them and you will need to wiggle legs some what or apply a little pressure to legs to get them lined up. Snug up and finish tightening. Diagram #4 ( keep your box handy because you can place the seat bottom upside down on the thin end of the box and than flip the legs and swivel on to the bottom of the seat ( this makes it easy to start screw and the chair is basically level ( the seat fits on the skinny end of the box ) and Once again start all screws before tightening them and you will need to wiggle swivel plate some what to align holes, once screws are started you can align swivel easier and snug screws, than finish tightening. I bought 6 and they are great the first one took about 55 minutes to put together ( including un wrapping and a oops or two, my second one based on notes above I did it in 30 minutes). The chairs are beautiful and look like an expensive piece of furniture. After unwrapping I did see one of the arm rests had a scuff ( not that bad ) . I am going to order 2 more replacing 2 old metal patio rockers also since these were reasonable and nice.

The chairs are very heavy and sturdy. They were well packaged. After reading other reviews we lubricated the swivel before assembling the chairs. The assembly was challenging. We have had extensive experience in constructing mail order furniture. Even so, each chair took us 45-60 minutes and caused a lot of stress. Once finished, they look great and are very comfortable.

Love them and the price is great. I have bought two at a time for over a couple of years to fully seat my visitors on my backyard porch and the original set still looks brand new. Easy to put together and extremely comfortable.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve noticed that the pack of different size screws wasn’t labeled to know which size is which until I ended up punching a side hole all the way through, and the bolt was only a half of inch longer which is very hard to tell by looking at it . Now , I have a little puncher on the side of the chair . The metal feels very cheap like it will bend easily. Maybe it will harden up once I put it outside? Not sure but it’s feeling cheap.

The assembly was ridiculous. Took 3 hours and ended up with one screw missing. No way to identity what screw was what. The chairs are very nice but not worth the time and money because of the assembly and worthless instructions

I received these within a week of ordering them. When I opened the box and opened the envelope containing the small parts, several of the washers were missing. I contacted the company and notified them of the missing parts. On the next day, got a response that the replacement parts will be sent. In less than a week, a new package of parts arrived. The company was very responsive. I am an active senior citizen and was able to put the bar stools together with no problem and no help. Make sure you do not tighten the screws all the way until all the pieces are put on. The foot rest is in the right position about 12” from the bottom. And at 5’7”, I can sit all the way back on the stool with my feet resting comfortably on the foot rest. The arm rests are comfortable. The material is fabric with no cushioning, but the chairs are comfortable. I have some seat/back cushions I bought for my old set that I have tried with this set and will probably continue to use to help mitigate wear. Even with the cushions in place, the chairs are still comfortable. These do not get used a lot, so It remains to be seen how they hold up over time. So far, after a several rain storms, they still look good.
