Quality, of this knife is excellent, however they size is mis-represented. (hence the 3 star rating) I purchased a pair of the Huusk "Viking" knives as camping gear and for my wife and me about 4 years back. The quality is fantastic. and recently I decided to "up my kitchen game" and purchase a chef's knife of the same style for everyday use. The basic description was a 10" blade. Imagine my surprice that the 10" was the over all length of the knife point to butt, and the only real difference is a blade spine thickness of 3/16" vs 1/8" on the older blades. The thicker blade MIGHT make a useful cleaver, but it also limits the blade for the slicing I bought it for. unlike the 10" blade I was expecting, that can handle cutting things like melons, this shorter blade is like cutting with a sharp crowbar.

I am buying a second one of these knives. Although it does not look like a typical fillet knife it does quite well on Ahi (yellow fin tuna). I also harvest wild pig in my orchard, and it is good skinning knife and butcher knife. So far takes a good edge and no rust.

I watched my wife process a 10 lb. bone-in pork shoulder in just minutes. Each cut simply needed a single draw with no effort required. So the sheath is cheap, ours will never leave the kitchen. The edge is razor sharp (YMMV), the blade is heavy duty and the handle allows even my large hands to hold it comfortably. We liked it so much we bought another knife so we'll have one for both the home kitchen and at the cabin.
