Description

The Viking 10-Piece 3-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Cookware Set features three layers of stainless steel and aluminum to distribute heat evenly throughout the pan, sides included. The set features metal lids that helping to reduce the chance of boil-overs. The interior of the saucepans and stock pots are marked with easy-to-use measurement markings so you know how much rice or liquid to add. The cookware features the signature Viking solid cast stainless steel handles that are riveted on with stainless steel rivets for a lifetime of use. The stainless steel pans are oven, grill, and broiler safe to 600°F, making it easy to finish a dish in the oven or even bake an entire casserole in the pan and take it right to the table for serving. All of the lids and cookware are dishwasher safe, but we always recommend hand-washing to help maintain the mirror polished finish and extend the life of the cookware.

These are very heavyduty pans. The lids are solid so you can't see through them while cooking unfortunately, and have sharp edges. I do love that the pans have a measuring input inside them.

Viking is a well known, respected name in the cooking world and these definitely are up to their reputation and standards. But they are NOT for anyone who has problems lifting or working with heavy items. They are quite heavy compared to most lesser brands, because they need to be to accomplish their purpose. Cooking is fast and even. Heat distribution is consistent. And the handles stay cool. Clean up is relatively easy. A sponge with a little Barkeepers Friend makes them look like new in no time. And they look beautiful, like well crafted stainless steel should. Just don't be surprised if you see some marks on the bottom if you move them around on your burners. As all quality things are, they aren't cheap. But if you can afford them, and you take care of them, you'll have quality cookware for many years. I hope this helps.
