This chair was exactly what I wanted and expected it to be. It's quite comfortable. I put it together myself in about 40 minutes, and I'm a retiree. The instructions were not hard. The one thing that might give you trouble is that parts of it are kind of heavy. I had to have someone bring the package in for me, and then left it flat on the floor while I took the pieces out one by one. So it was a little unwieldy, but other than that, it was no problem. It's a nice chair, worth the price, but it's not my holy grail. I purchased the seat with the "thickened spring cushion" which feels really sturdy & comfy and like it will last a long time - definitely recommend that option. The fabric isn't ideal. The mesh part isn't too comfortable on bare skin. Time will tell how long the pleather parts hold up. I like the footrest and it stows away easily. I wouldn't feel super comfortable putting much weight on it though. Not a fan of the armrests and neither are bony elbows. I heeded other reviews and made sure to not overtighten the armrest screws. I think they really need longer screws or something because they still wiggle a bit. I feel like I have to be overly cautious with them. If you're like me and sit cross-legged, you probably put most of your weight on the armrests when you pull yourself up & move around, so I need sturdier armrests. They don't have the option to fold up and out of the way either since they are connected to the seat. Thankfully the seat is wide enough that I am still able to sit cross-legged. I'm surprised at how powerful the massager is, but I don't really use it because the cord is so short and I'm worried I will rip it out by turning or rolling over it. Upgraded from a patio chair to this and it is AWESOME! I can lay my head back against the headrest with great support. Perfect for working at the computer for long hours. There's one lever to adjust the height. The tallest option is pretty good leg room and when lowering the chair height it can get so low I can slide the chair under my desk. The second lever locks the back so you can adjust the decline wherever you want or just let it free swing letting you lay down and with the leg rests you can pass out for a nap in this chair. I really like the armrests they're solid but you wouldn't want to put all your weight on them. The lumbar massage cushion is great and can be easily positioned for different parts of the back really helps with back pain + the massage feature is great for a constant low power vibration. Couldn't have asked for a better chair for the cost and the neck pillow thrown in is a great addition. ... show more

I bought this chair in April, and shortly after I had to buy a seat cushion because it hurt to sit in for long periods of time. And as time went on, the more and more I realized this chair is really not that great. It's now December, and the Armrests have already started flaking and cracking. I absolutely hate hot the Armrests are connected to the chair so they move when you recline and whatever. It makes them super weak. I can't even lean on one to reposition myself without bending it outward and having it bowed out. Then I need to bend it back inward where it belongs. This VIGOSIT chair is not great quality, and it WILL hurt your butt after prolonged periods of sitting in it. The padding on the seat is basically Non-Existent. I really, really wish I hadn't been in a rush to get a chair for work and had a little more time to shop around for a better quality chair. Now it's just sitting near my closet door, collecting dust, being in the way and tripping me in the middle of the night one the way to bathroom. LOL TLDR; Don't bother. It's poor quality. This Companies Customer Service game is on POINT though. I will state that. I had some issues with the vibrating lumbar pillow and they shipped a brand new one free of charge. So in that aspect they get 5 stars. My GF got me the DPS chair from Costco, I wish I had found this one before buying the VIGOSIT. This new DPS chair is super comfortable, and the armrests aren't part of the chair itself like on the VIGO. ... show more

This chair has great cushion and I love the foot rest! And it was great.. at first, till the back rest started leaning to the right at all times. No matter that I do I find it slanted to the right which has made my back take some damage. I constantly wake up with a pain on my right side. And that alone makes it hard to want to sit in the chair. I’ve tried tightening it but it doesn’t help. And on top of that the arm rests must be faulty because they stay loose. They wiggle. Even tightened they still wiggle. I’ve had this chair for 2 months. ... show more

This chair accommodates my hefty rear, is comfy for the back and lumbar support (If you want that), and feels solid with no wobbling yet after a few months. One small thing I don't like: the armrests are designed to recline with the chair and so are connected at only two points which make them very flimsy. If you are large enough to need to 'push off' as it were then I suspect the armrests may break much sooner than they should. My big complaint is comfort. If I want to sit for more than an hour or so, for me, it begins to make my butt sore. For a gaming chair, where many people sit and play for several hours a day, I cannot say I recommend it. I have to stop playing often before I want to because of it. ... show more
