Why does this Multifunctional Workout Chair, Ab Machine Exercise Equipment only rate two-and-a-half stars? What you see is what you get. When we first assembled the equipment, I looked at all the exercises that I was supposed to be able to do with the chair. I was a bit puzzled, because there seemed to be a LOT, compared to the overall non-adjustable nature of this "multifunctional" chair. You really cannot adjust anything. I spent time poring over the handout, trying to see if there was some magical angle at which I was supposed to sit, or a way to pull apart the body rests, or foot rests or something. Nope! No adjustments for size, for for height...anything. The most useful exercise I tried was the rowing exercise, which was okay (I own a nice rowing machine). I think if I had very limited space, I might find it useful to pull on the rowing "setting". But even then, the handling is shaky, and doesn't feel that great. The crunches are strange...the backrest is supposed to have a "massaging" effect, with the foam rollers smoothly rolling on your back. Um. They don't feel good. At all. They don't roll; they rub. Stiffly. It's quite irritating. I might invest in one of these small chairs if I were living in a very small space, and needed some exercise equipment that offered different ways to tone up. It doesn't take up much space, which is a plus. But it's not adjustable at all, which makes it very awkward. It's very uneven, and difficult to maneuver. I also think if you need a strong workout, this isn't the chair for you.

My husband has been complaining of back pain so I got this to gradually strengthen his core and back. The chair was easy enough to put together and quick to readjust the parts for different work outs. It does sit a bit low to the ground and if you are taller than 5'10" the length of the machine may not be adequate. My husband said he likes the different work outs he was able to do, but he complained that there was not enough resistance and was unable to add more weights. I gently reminded him that he is starting from no work out at all so he needs to start slow... and once he sees some improvements then we can talk about investing in a proper machine. Overall, I think this is good for a quick low intensity exercise for a while to build up some strength... but if you are looking to buff up, this may not provide enough weights to do that. Nonetheless, this is priced just right to see if he'll stick with it without spending thousands of dollars on a machine to serve as a paperweight display.

I have a great unit at home, that I use pretty much daily, but it’s mostly geared towards the leg muscles and the arms, I needed something that would also strengthen my core to help me, once again, get it to the point where my back pain from painful, herniated discs would diminish. Before my twins I had bad discs I didn’t even know about because my abs were so tight for working them out regularly. That’s the secret to less back pain.. NO JOKE! STRONG CORE=‘s STRONG BACK! This looked like an awesome unit to use to achieve this, without straining my back, causing further pain or potential injury, in the process. This gives you support, so it’s not super taxing on an already ailing back. That was the ‘HIT THE ORDER BUTTON’ moment for me. I knew this would be perfect, PLUS the benefits of a total body workout in this one machine. This has taken place of my other unit I adored, but it did not target my core at all, and floor crunches were too taxing. This machine is the bomb. When it says multi-function, it truly is.. targeting my abs was number 1 for me though, and I’m getting a workout without any extra pain, and that’s nothing that I could say for years now. This piece of gym equipment for your home is a great value for this price point. It’s a well worth it buy, and would make a great holiday gift for you or that special someone that you love! So far, so great! From assembly to full use, I have zero complaints about this product. Set up was easy, the quality seems A+, so far, everything is perfect. The value is a great one, it came nicely packaged, and not super bulky. I was surprised it wasn’t a much bigger box, but that’s a good thing. Everything inside was 😘 perfecto! Hubby had to ready to roll pretty quickly. I’m a happy mama, who is soon to have my abs ‘o steel back! 5 stars! I hope that my review is helpful :).

Assembly was ok. Not the easiest to put together but not terrible. A good product to use for exercise and small enough so that it doesn't take up much space.

My husband and I are both able to use this workout chair (he is 6 foot 3 and I am 5 foot 7), although it doesn't adjust. I like the variety of workouts that it can be used for, and love how little space it takes up, as we live in an apartment and space is at a premium. Assembly was easy, and the entire thing feels very sturdy. My husband and I are happy with it, and I would not hesitate to order it again.
