We purchased these in March of 24 and I wanted to wait to provide a review. These speakers are awesome. We live in metro Phoenix so I wondered how they would the heat. Answer... No problem. I initially charged them using the power cord in March; the sun has been charging them for 9 months since. So if you live in a sunny location, these are the best. Great sound, easy paring with your devices, and are portable. Even if not in an area as sunny as AZ, I bet they would work as well as they are in the shade all afternoon after being recharged in the morning sun. The range of connectivity is variable, but overall, if your phone is within 20 feet or so, you should be good. My only 2 complaints are: 1. You have to turn each one on separately, yet you can turn both off by turning one off. 2. I wish they incorporated a handle within the design so they are easier to move. Those are minor issues compared to how well they work. Bottom line... Buy them. ... show more

Out of the box these speakers were pretty good. Connecting was easy and the sound quality was good for a $100 set of speakers. But, when the honeymoon was over these rocks turned into just that, rocks. Here is a list of reasons to look at other speakers. 1. I found that connecting with a device to the speakers then effected trying to connect with another device. My son would use his phone to connect then when I tried to use my phone it would only remember his. I'd have to have him turn his bluetooth off to have any chance of connecting my phone. 2. I had my rocks about 15 feet apart and the connection was often static filled. 3. It would take multiple attempts to pair them together and then connect to a device. 4. If it's cloudy out during the day you'll get very limited play time. 5. One Texas summer and the solar screen is falling apart. Not very durable. 6. Now I can only get one of the speakers to work, the other has a red light that just flickers. The working speaker will then just shut off at will. The 5 Star reviews I read appear too be from people that just took their rocks out of the box. Give them a few months and then review. On the bright side they're cheaper than real rocks that you would use to decorate your yard. So, I've got that going for me. ... show more

I ordered these because they were the right price. I have a fairly large backyard and actually used them lots. Love the fact that I could just move them wherever I wanted. Batteries lasted all day too! Not super duper loud and the sound isn't the best. But I enjoyed them nonetheless. I got two years out of my set before the speakers started crackling and popping. I did however spend the extra $$ on the warranty. Which had another year on it. Warranty company issued me a full refund the same day I shipped them back. Probably going to get the same set with the warranty again. ... show more

Solar charging feature is incredible. We have been using these speakers every day for 2-3 hours and have never had to charge them. Leave them in the sun. Great sound. About 55 feet range on the Bluetooth. Sound quality is very good. They pair easily. They have been left out in the pouring rain, all weather conditions for that matter for 4 months and they look and sound the way they did the day we bought them. A very good product. ... show more

I bought these outdoor speakers in June 2022 and have had them over a year. Full disclosure I did buy a returned pair so that may have been why one of the speakers quit connecting to the other after a year. All of last summer these worked AWESOME and I was sooo happy with them. Easy to connect to Bluetooth, easy to connect to each other and I ran them off my iPad which stayed in the house most of the time. So I was really please with the control range I had with them. I took them inside over the winter and brought them out in late April of this year to use. All was working well until about three weeks ago when one of them quit syncing to the other. It was fully charged, just would not sync. Unfortunately after several attempts to turn them on and off and resync them, the small tab broke off and now it won’t work at all. I was extremely disappointed and for the price I feel I should have gotten more than one summer’s use from them. I did buy a 2nd set because some of the reviews say you can link multiple speakers. I hope this will work. If not I will return the other two speakers and try a different brand. Overall I was really pleased with the speakers (enough to buy a second set) until the tab broke on the on/off/sync button. Poor quality workmanship, but the sound and other features of this speaker are quite good. ... show more

I recently was at a party over my neighbors house and he showed me his new wireless rock speakers. I was really impressed with the audio quality and range of his Free Rok speakers.That it put me in motion to get a pair for my new patio. So in my search I stumbled on to these and thought solar power great . They looked similar to my neighbors Free rock speakers but that is where the similarity stops and this gets a 2 star rating while unfortunately my neighbors gets a 4.5 or 5 star. I'm returning these speakers as I couldn't possibly have my neighbor to my house for a patio party-shameful . I was wondering how could they sound so bad in comparison with the same size driver . In looking into the grille carefully you can see it looks like they used a large driver to put out good sound, but that is not the case the outer ring is plastic and the inner driver is only 3.50" with no tweeter . Once I saw this I realized that there is no way to get good sound outside with any bass with such a small driver. The differences were also noticeable in the cabinet itself, it did not seem like the same rigid fiberglass shell as my neighbors rock speakers, which look much more like a rock than these. In close analysis it is made of plastic which makes sense as in the manual it states to not put in direct sunlight . What ? Its solar powered how can you not put this in direct hot sunlight ? If you live in hot areas avoid this speaker as it may melt . Connecting the two bluetooth speakers was clunky but workable . After the two were connected I got about 20-30 feet of range before the bluetooth signal broke up . In playing these at about 70% volume which is not loud, I ran out of power on a moderately sunny day . I give this speaker a 5 for a good idea, but 2 for overall performance and they are going back, I'm getting the ones my neighbor has instead . ... show more

i take these as a pair and jam the whole Dunedin causways area , with my fone running a android with volume booster app running you can hear these rocking a good 30 to 40 yards away.?? maybe more .. i set my speakers up about 10 ft apart for me and my konga drums, but , at 15 ft to 20 ft apart they will rock the whole beach area your in, you will piss a few off by doing this. just hold your ground, lol.. as for battery, i charged it once and i always use them in sun , they run from 10am to sunset or even lil after..lol non stop..lol the battery, i dont know man the solar panels seems to keep them rocking for me.. water prrof i keep mine on very dry sand or in my car.. .. i got salt water to deal with down here.. ..lol .. handling.. they are big and bilky, but i got a hummer h2 that makes thes like pebbles..lol i would recommend these to anyone .... one rocking happy customer.. oh i read that the battery can be swapped out if needed. that a whole plus two for me and you... fair winds and fallowing seas... buccaneer bowen ... show more
