  • Excellent for Sonos speakers
I have a Sonos system but was unable to get my turntable to connect. I read about this Victrola and that it works with Sonos. The setup was very simple and my record collection had new voice. FYI when you play your first LP expect a few seconds of silence when you drop the needle, it will begin playing when it connects to Sonos. Sound quality is excellent. Excellent value for Sonos owners ... show more

  • Not worth it
After extensive research to replace my existing broken turntable, I was excited to find this unit compatible with Sonos. I was willing to pay the steep price to avoid more speakers etc. I couldn’t wait to play my favorite records for my kids who were so curious how a turntable worked. Who knew!? The set up was easy. The unit is quite beautiful and sleek and did look great in my music room. Those are the only pros. The connection was very unstable and glitchy and slightly improved with the recommended adjustments. I couldn’t get an entire side of a record to play without interruption. When it did connect, the sound was decent. The app crashed more often after the recommended update. Unfortunately this is just not a good unit. The concept is amazing but not quite there and certainly not worth the very steep price tag. Plus … if the internet goes out, this unit is useless. It could also use a protective cover for use while playing. I’m a big audiophile and spent the better part of my day trying to make this work, hoping it would improve but it just didn’t. It made more work than enjoyment. ... show more

  • Excellent Turntable for Vinyl Enthusiasts
I recently purchased this turntable and couldn’t be more thrilled with my decision. This turntable has exceeded my expectations, especially with its seamless integration with my Sonos speaker system. Setup was a breeze, connecting effortlessly to my Sonos speakers, and within minutes, I was enjoying my vinyl collection with the rich, immersive sound Sonos is known for. The sound quality is phenomenal, capturing every nuance of my records with a warm, authentic feel. The sleek design adds elegance to my living room, and its top-notch build quality feels durable and well-crafted. The convenience of controlling volume and playback directly from the turntable is fantastic, ensuring an easy and enjoyable listening experience. Whether you’re a vinyl enthusiast or just getting started, this turntable offers an unbeatable combination of sound quality, design, and convenience. Five stars! ... show more

  • All good so far with a few minor issues
Despite all the recent issues with the new Sonos app, connection to WiFi and to my Sonos system was very easy. The turntable initially wasn't visible to the Victrola app on my android phone but on ios/ipad it worked immediately. A few more attempts on the phone and a reinstall and it is working there too now. Sound is excellent and i have had no issues with sound dropping etc. As long as your network is strong and you have a decent router it seems rock solid so far... via RCA to a proper hifi gets you a further step up in clarity. Even better if: 1) You could control it more fully directly from the Sonos app... it comes in as Audio Stream straight to the zone you pick from the Victrola app with no other options or visibility 2) You could select what zone to play to from the turntable itself (you can set one default zone, otherwise need to use the app) 3) It had a proper dust cover... the included folded bit of plastic is an awkward embarrassment for something of this price... I'm looking to get a custom clear acrylic one made ... show more

  • Good value and just works
Setup was easy and intuitive. Automatically detected my various Sonos rooms. Set it to auto play to my Living Room (Beam 2, surrounds and sub mini). I opened for an Ethernet connection given the complaints about drop outs. This worked for my placement as well. Set to min delay and prioritize audio quality. It sounds incredible and have had zero issues with connectivity. I would love to test the difference between the Onyx and the Carbon. Give me a shout Victrola. ... show more

  • Great for my needs
Great to play some of my old albums on without breaking the bank. Got on sale for $399. Connected to Sonos no problem at highest quality and lowest delay using stock Xfinity Gateway. Don't know where others are seeing connection problems, but I'm not seeing any. Looks good, sounds good, and does the job. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY
This worked well for about a day until the connectivity issues began. I tried everything - rebooting, wifi extender, wired in, moving the record player right next to modem and router. Even when the Victrola App showed that I had stronger signal strength, the dropping out and connectivity issues remained. On top of it all, the dust cover is junk and the app is bad too. Unfortunately, I used this every day for about 3 weeks of owning and it got to the point where it could barely make it through a song without severe dropping and glitching. No, I didn’t have a faulty unit or have bad internet etc. The product and software are flawed and not strong. As someone with a full Sonos family of products, it is upsetting because it could be great. It is not. Do not purchase. ... show more

  • So so so good!
I was so pleased. I had purchased another all-in-one unit. The setup was a nightmare. Then it hit me - I had all these Sonos speakers. Maybe there was something compatible. And I found this. Set-up was a breeze. The sound quality is quite good. I love that there is a volume control, but I can also easily control everything on the Sonos app. This is such a nice unit. My only gripe is that I wish there was a true dust-cover. Hopefully they'll make one available. But this is such a great, easy-to-setup-and-use unit! I can lift up the arm and lower the needle on the record. It plays automatically. I can shut it down and immediately play Apple Music on my computer. It’s so easy. ... show more
