I picked up this kit while working on a small fabrication project that called for a variety of flat-head metric screws. Rather than ordering one specific size, I wanted an assortment so I could figure out what worked best as the project evolved. The mix of M2 through M5 screws ended up covering everything I needed. This is a wonderful way to get assorted screws, nuts, washers, and lock washers. I kid you not, I was at one of the big-box hardware stores and they were selling 2-4 screws (size M3) for something like $1.24 /ea. It doesn't take long to realize this is the better deal! Need M screws this is the one. I had to attach an adapter to my Dewalt plunge router which I purchased about thirty years ago. At the time, I did not need the adapter to attach guide bushings. Now I do. To attach the adapter to my router base I needed screws which were correct size. It is a counter sink screw. Unbeknown to me it was metric. I wasted much time and money to achieve my end.
