When you pay $50 for a turntable, you shouldn't expect much unless you found it as a component piece at a garage sale and it carries a name brand. So, for this price, I wasn't expecting great quality sound. I expected it to sound tinny, not particularly warm, and "old-timey", as if I were listening to old records on an old Victrola. That's more or less what I got here. It's packaged in a kitschy little turquoise suitcase. The construction seems fine all around. Again, it's fifty bucks, so don't expect to have your mind blown at the craftsmanship or the sound quality. It's cute, it plays records, they sound okay. I haven't tested the bluetooth, because it seems like a pointless feature since I have far better speakers to connect my phone to. Just be aware that records are back in vogue, so they're way overpriced. Try to scour your local thrift shops for a good deal, although you'll mostly just find a lot of Mantovani and choral records. But you might get lucky and find a favorite to enjoy on vinyl. For fifty plus bucks, you can enjoy the pleasure of listening to vinyl records again. There's something about vinyl that makes you want to put a record on and just sit and listen, without doing anything else. I love how it has the Bluetooth option. My sister bought it and at first she was really nervous about getting a suitcase record player. She looked through the reviews and made me compare it with other record players with her. All of the specs for it made this one look a lot nicer and there were a lot more reviews for this one than there were for others so she broke down and got it. She has loved it! Clear sound quality and easy to use. She loves being able to Bluetooth to it as well and the speakers are fantastic whether you use it as an actual record player or just a speaker. It’s nice that it comes with an extra needle for when this one wears out or breaks. Lots of cool features to it. Highly recommend! ... show more

I was drawn to this thing because it's adorable. I mean, come on - turquoise and chrome? So cute. Overall I am very happy with this record player, but only rated three stars because you definitely get what you pay for. First, the pros. Like I said, it's adorable. Having multiple color options makes it versatile for whatever color you prefer or goes with your room if you're into that kind of thing. It's small and compact, when closed up it's teensy and super portable. For audio outputs it has RCA jacks on the back and a 3.5" audio jack on the turntable. For input there's a 3.5" line in jack on the turntable, and it is Bluetooth capable. It's easy to use, it's fun, and its compact size makes it easy to set up wherever you want it. Now the cons, and while there seem like a lot more than pros, at this price point it's not unexpected and not enough of a detractor for me to return the unit. The built in speakers are, for lack of a better word, meh. They have a retro charm, for sure, but are pretty tinny. They make the fact that the Bluetooth capability of this player only works for receiving input pretty much useless - I wanted to connect my wireless headphones and thought the Bluetooth feature would allow me to do that, but it doesn't. I can't think of why someone would want to stream their music to these speakers seeing as very decent, inexpensive Bluetooth speakers are so abundant. I ended up purchasing a separate transmitting adapter to use my headphones which works great. The arm is very light, so light that skipping is frequent. I use a clay poker chip to weigh it down and it solves the problem but I do wish it had some tension to hold it down a bit better. The lifter doesn't have any guide for aligning it with the start of a record - it seems pretty standard to me that if it plays 33, 45, and 78 rpm albums that the arm lifter should have guides to keep you from lowering it off the edge of the record. There's a switch to turn the turntable off at the end of an album, but the arm does not have an automatic lifter so it just sits there until you manually pick it up again. It would be nice to leave an album on repeat rather than needing to reset it every 20 minutes. The finishing is a bit more sloppy than I would expect. It's not portrayed this way in the promotional images but the turquoise wrap around the case of my player is simply notched and folded over without any finishing to the raw edges, not even paint. This doesn't affect the function of the player but for the design appeal of the unit I was expecting this to look more tight. Overall: it's a great little unit, fun to play around with and the perfect low-cost entry (or re-entry, in my case) point to get into vinyl. Just don't expect it to be amazing. ... show more

This is super easy to use, plug it in, put a record on, turn it on, and go! The sound quality is great, the color is classy, and I love being able to close it when not in use. It is not too big and is light weight. It does come with instructions for usage and a code for discount on future purchases.

I was extremely excited to receive this product until I saw a huge dent in the top corner of the box. My horror when I open the box to see this piece absolutely demolished. The latches were completely f'ed the speakers were knocked completely out of place and just rattling away inside the record player. I know this is more than likely an issue in the post. Since I got it to work and it sounds good, but gods this is absolutely frustrating Update: after requesting a replacement unit. It came in absolutely pristine. It sounds great and looks fantastic.
