This is fantastic because it dehydrates at a low temp (90°F) and has lots of shelves to get a lit dried at once. The only complaint that I have is that you have to screw the handle on the door and the screws are short and drop into the inside lip of the door, which is open and has a VERY SHARP metal edge. The instructions are also very lacking. I had to email the mfg to find out what some parts are for, and even then, not sure I got the right answer. It also took several days to get a response.

This item doing well to dry strawberry and other fruits, but it takes time for them as they have lot water. The electricity it needs to dry for 24 h costs same product from grocery store. Mushroom is OK.

I bought the 800 watt, 10 tray SS 10H model. It is 120 volts, NOT 220. They need to correct that in the specs and they would probably sell more units, especially here in the United States. Other than that, I am thrilled with the overall quality of the machine. It is sturdily built, and looks good on the counter. I haven't checked the accuracy of the temps, but we have made some jerky and some banana chips and they turned out great!

I had an older nesco dehydrator before this but it was time for an upgrade. I loved my old 1 but after getting this 1 I realize my old 1 was not that great after all. Racks are dishwasher safe, timer is great and it's super quiet (I didn't even know it was truly on the 1st time). It is quite large but if you read the info then you already know that.
