When you read this, realize I only get about a year out of a sander no matter the brand. Worked great for exactly a year and died. I used it almost daily for a year until it died. It was smooth and quiet. The dust collection was great hooked to a normal 2.5 gallon shop vac. I I would recommend a foam hook and loop pad for it though. Otherwise, sanding a radius will cause the sanding disc to come off and sail across your shop.

I'm going to give this a 4 star because for the money it is a good sander! With that being said the pads suck they don't last very long and the dust collection sucks. Other than that the sander is awesome If they could correct the pad issue and get some better dust collection the sander would be as good as a $400 sander in my opinion. So if you're looking for a good sander at a great price not worried about dust collection and you are okay with replacing pads often go for it or fork out the $400 for a mirka or festool. To Vevor Please improve the dust collection and the pads I would buy another one easily. As for the durability so far so good I've had it for a few months and so far it's just fine.

I bought the VEVOR Random Orbital Sander (5 & 6-inch, 350W Brushless Beast Mode Edition) fully expecting a normal sanding experience. What I got instead was a smooth-talking, wood-whispering, vibration-taming miracle worker. First off—350W brushless motor? This thing doesn’t sand… it negotiates with wood. Rough boards? Gone. Old finish? Erased like it owed money. At 10,000 RPM with 6 variable speeds, I felt like a DJ spinning vinyl—except the vinyl was my workbench and the beat dropped flawlessly. The 5-inch and 6-inch option is genius. Small detail work? Check. Big flat surfaces? Check. My arm didn’t go numb, my teeth didn’t rattle, and my soul stayed intact. That’s rare in power tools. Let’s talk dust control. With the dust connector and hose, this sander politely escorts sawdust out of the room instead of launching it into my lungs like most sanders do. My shop stayed cleaner, and my wife stopped asking why everything smells like a lumberyard. And the 20 sandpapers included? Bless you, VEVOR. No frantic Amazon reorder mid-project. Just open the box and get to work like a civilized human. Bottom line: This sander is powerful, smooth, quiet enough to think straight, and tough enough to make me feel like I know what I’m doing. I own 4-5 festool sanders and two Mirka. This unit clearly comes from the same factory as the Mirka and 3M sanders. I like the Mirka Deos for its 5mm motion which is aggressive for a ROS. After 3 years the 5mm unit is dead. Not wanting to spend $678 on a new one I thought I’d take this unit for a spin. The form factor, controls, motor size are the same. So here’s my take after one day. 1. Dust collection is lacking but still better than Big Box brands. News flash, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita are not the makers of the best tools. Not by a long shot. Their sander’s are garbage in performance and dust collection. In Europe all work is renovation. There is almost zero “new” construction. So dust collection is important. Festool wrote the book. It’s not just important for your health, and keeping the site clean. It boosts performance massively and saves money. When your sandpaper doesn’t get clogged, or overheat, then it cuts far better, lasts longer and work gets done faster. This unit with a Festool dust extractor hooked to it still made dust to where I had to put a mask on, which I never need to do. Even with two air scrubbers in my shop running. 2. Lag at start - it’s a little slow getting up to speed. It may be a 350 watt motor, but it’s slower and a little less powerful. Pluses: A. It is light and powerful. Nothing from the big names comes close. B: It is quiet. C: You can set it as 5” or 6” V just change the. Backing pad. D Does not have sn over heating problem. E. It’s not battery powered. These are sanders. None of the battery units can keep up. Don’t even start. I’ve tried them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m going to probably keep it. For the price compared to Mirka and Festool I can buy 4 or 5. UPDATE - I was wrong. This motor is NOT 350 not close. This sander is slow and weak. It pollutes due to bad dust collection. Sorry I can’t afford this lack of product. It’s costing me business. I’m returning it. Not what it professes to be.
