A garment steamer isn't something I use regularly, but it's so nice to have on hand when you need it. The premise is simple - heat water, output steam - and the design of this unit is also simple and works well. The cord is nice and long, and the unit heats the water quickly. The inner container is clear and so you can easily see the water as it comes to a boil, and it does get hot to the touch. But the outer layer of plastic provides very good protection from the heat. You'll only get a few minutes of steam as the reservoir seems a little small, though I don't know how it compares to other steamers on the market. But it's no problem to refill and reheat as needed. The unit opens easily and closes securely. Again, not knowing how this compares with other units, it seems a little odd that there's no trigger or steam on/off control - it just provides a continuous output of steam. But that is consistent with the simple design. I tested this on a semi-formal dress, one that I'd be a little hesitant to iron. The large wrinkles came out easily and took about half a tank of water; the fine wrinkles remained but I didn't put a lot of time and effort into the test, and results will vary greatly by fabric. I am happy with this unit. Use distilled water and it should last for a while!

I always wanted a clothes steamer, so when I saw this, I jumped on it. I love the design; it is very user-friendly and lightweight. It comes with a heat mitt to protect your hand. This product is well worth the money.

This steamer actually packs a punch once it gets past all the spitting and boiling process to get fully heated. Have patience as it takes a few minutes to complete that process, because if you do try to steam too soon, you’ll have hot water all over. With that being said I can see why they provide you with a convenient mitten that resembles an oven mitten. However, one shouldn’t have to use it if they are patient to wait for it to fully boil/heat. Had a pair of microfiber golf pants that needed de-wrinkling and this steamer did the trick. Microfiber can be difficult, and I was happy with the result. Cord is super long for convenience as well. Good buy.

This product works by heating distilled water to the boiling point, thus producing steam. So it must be handled with the utmost care and stored well away from children. I read its instructional booklet and many cautions - twice - very carefully. A small insulated mitt is provided to protect your hand. But I have 2 silicone mitts I purchased from Amazon over a decade ago. You can search Amazon for a pair. They are larger and longer than the mitt provided with this steamer. And I highly recommend that you will be much safer using them on both hands, just to be sure you are well protected while using this handheld steamer. The steamer uses a great deal of energy to quickly produce its boiling water and steam. It uses so much electricity that it can potentially trigger a circuit-breaker. So be sure this device is the only one drawing energy when you need to use it. I chose to steam a pair of clean but wrinkled linen pants, which I hung from a laundry hanger which fits over a door. I placed the steamer on a silicone mat and let it cool on that mat after I used it. It worked effectively to smooth out the wrinkles, but I will admit I had been unprepared for the furiously boiling water once it heated up. Using my silicone mitts, however, I felt very safe using it. It’s an excellent product. So long as you are super careful - and use/buy your own silicone mitts! One for each hand - please do me (and your hands) that favor.

This garmet steamer is very nice and easy to use. It holds enough water to fully steam about two garmets at a time, which is perfect for me. It has an easy switch on and off, no additional settings - very simple. I got it to use on clothing that I hang to dry as they are sometimes stiff or a little wrinkled after they dry since they do not go in the dryer. I have also used it to steam new clothes that come wrinkled out of the packaging. The steam gets hot enough that it can be used for cleaning and sanitizing purposes as well. The cord is really long but if you need more length, the instructions tell you what type of extension cord you will need to use in order to do so safely.

This VEVOR Portable Handheld Fabric Steamer, 900W Quick Heat Steamer for Clothes, Wrinkle Remover Clothing Iron Intelligent Controller & Auto-Off & Large Detachable Water Tank, With Gloves was the HIT of our family gift exchange this year! I own a stand-up steamer, and we have been using that for YEARS - it's so much better than ironing! But this little portable steamer definitely gives my big one a run for its money! It's small and light, so it's really simple to use, and it heats up REALLY fast - and it is HOT!!! It's a good thing that it comes with the mitt to protect your hand when you use it! But this set totally does the trick! And it's SO handy - I've even packed it and brought it along on a cruise! It's really a great little steamer, definitely worth the price. If you are looking to dump the iron and ironing board, but you don't want to invest in a larger steamer (or don't have a space to keep one), this little one won't disappoint!
