Recommended. Worked astonishingly well. Well designed. I bought this because I wanted to install a dock in a pond while the pond was frozen over. The bottom plates were 10 inch squares so I had to drill 4 holes per leg. All in all, I drilled 16 holes through 12 inch thick ice without much hassle. The cutting bales are very sharp. Make sure you don't apply a lot of pressure and let the blades do their job.

I cut 16in ice with this and a Milwaukee 1200 IN/LBS drill Never had a problem used it all day about 15 holes and lost a light on my battery. Works amazing only bad thing I can think off is the cover for the blades, falls off once in a while.

Took a chance, punches through 30" of ice just as fast as the video from the manufacturer. I did 20 holes in one day, last was just as fast as the first, n still had lots of battery left on a m18 5.

This auger works great. It went through 18" of ice like butter. Blades are easy to remove and sharpen as well. Worth every penny!!!

This product was heavier than expected. It's heavier than my metal auger. If I knew it would be this heavy I wouldn't have bought this. I would have went with the K drill Update after first use. 12/30/2023 This thing needs to have blades sharpened out of the box. It took forever to cut thru ice. It is heavy and puts more strain on my drill than my 6 inch metal hand auger I attached with a drill plate attachment. I would not recommend. This is an honest and unpaid review. Update 1/23/24 After sharpening blades, it will struggles to cut through solid ice. I would not buy.
