I know it says for wood, but I was able to drill through a bit of morter in order to install coax cable from outside of my house. I am very happy with it. It is well made and very affordable. :>)

I got this for extending a doorbell wire and it worked perfect. I did not use this bit for the mortar between bricks but for extending onto the wood and plaster brick facade. I was lucky enough to clip a nail inside the wall but this bit took care of it fine. Is worked just perfect for my needs.

While running electrical and HDMI wiring for a wall-mounted television, I had to drill holes large enough to fish various cabling through as many as 3 - 2X4's stacked together in a corner. This bit chewed right through the full length and provided holes of sufficient diameter to accommodate my installation requirements. I won't use it every day, but it's certainly a nice addition to my tool shop and comforting to know that I can just reach for it when needed for similar projects.
