  • Great auger bits for a multitude of soil types.
Size: 1.6 x 8.6 + 3 x 12 + 2 x 14.5 + 2.6 x 16....
I had purchased an auger bulb drill bit from tractor supply and got frustrated with how crappy it did. I ordered these and what a difference. I’m located in South Carolina and the soil in my yard is a mix of top soil, clay and gravel. I was able to dig my holes in no time with the bits bringing the gravel to the top. They worked great and I was able to plant my 20 plants easily. There are multiple sizes and I used the smaller ones first to get everything started, then upsized as needed. Great design of the augers to be able to dig down in the gravel. Definitely worth the money. ... show more

  • Excellent, well-made auger bits - it really works!
Size: 1.6 x 16 + 3.5 x 16 Inch
These are very well made and sturdy. I used the smaller of the two sizes with a 20v DeWalt cordless drill, which is a very powerful drill. I used the bit to plant in tough North Texas soil, which is less like soil and more like rock-filled clay - the most difficult substance one can imagine to plant in, aside from concrete. This auger made the job easier, I was able to break up this impossible soil and remove the excess dirt with a shovel. It’s a nearly impossible job otherwise. I made three large holes to plant shrubs that came in 2 gallon buckets, so the holes were about 18” in diameter and maybe 14” deep, leaving plenty of room to add good soil around the new plants. One thing to note, when you hit rocks or roots or just tough sticky clay, the drill will kick back with considerable force, and I’ve got a sore shoulder and wrists from that. After a while you learn to be less aggressive with the drilling and take smaller bites to avoid injury. If your drill has a two-speed gearbox, use the lower, higher torque setting, especially in tough soils, but please use caution! In all, this is a great tool that makes the difficult job of digging in tough earth much easier. ... show more

  • Everything as described. Works great
Size: 1.6 x 8.6 + 3 x 12 + 2 x 14.5 + 2.6 x 16....
Great gift for the gardening wife. Drills perfect size holes for potted plants, bulbs, and starters. Quality is good for the price. I don't understand why we got multiples of the same size, but it was exactly as described. Chucked up into our cordless Milwaukee without issues.

  • Awesome auger attachments for a home drill!!!
Size: 1.6 x 16 + 3.5 x 16 Inch
Short and sweet.. My wife wanted to buy a 'small handheld auger' to plant tulip bulbs.. At Home Depot, a Ryobi small auger (12-14 inch depth) was like $70 bucks, and did not include a battery or charger, which would add another $80-90 to the total price, and that is not even counting buing auger attachments!! So, instead of spending $150-200, I tried these 2 auger bits from K-Brands, which fit into any power drill most folks already own (battery powered or corded)!!! They cost me a little over $20, and I got two bits for the price.. One is about 1.5 inches in diameter and the other is about 3.5 inches, and both bits will get you a depth of 12-16 inches or more.. High quality construction, and they work as good as one would expect from an auger bit mounted to a hand drill!!! I only tried them on my cordless drill (20 volt), and was impressed.. And I feel that their performance with a 'corded drill' will also be impressive!! NOTE - Please keep in mind that these bits, while excellent, are NOT gonna dig you a fence post hole!!! LOL.. And, like ANY auger bit attachment, even from much bigger auger drills, there will be kickback and jams in very rocky soil!!! And yes, these bits DID jam up a bit in my very rocky soil that has a LOT of shale!!!!!! But these bits did a VERY nice job!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these auger bits!!! FIVE STARS!!! ... show more

  • Works well, holds up to multiple uses
Size: 1.6 x 16 + 3.5 x 16 Inch
I have to admit to having been skeptical about this product. The ground about 2 inches beneath the surface of our property is firm, damp, clay. Even tillers have problems cutting into this soil. These augers, however, despite being affordable, were able to dig down 4 inches with ease, and a bit further with some help from a digging bar. This left us with some perfect spots to mix in gardening soil and our tomato plants. The smaller auger appears made for planting decorative flowers, and the larger is appropriately sized for larger garden plants like cucumbers, etc. They cut into the ground very well and appear sturdy enough to use for several more seasons. These cut down the time and work involved with putting in my wife's garden considerably and I'd recommend them to anyone who likes to have a garden but hates the effort it takes to make their imperfect soil accept the plants. ... show more

  • Good quality. Works well
Size: 2 x 32 Inch
This thing is a beast. The previous auger I bought was a piece of garbage and broke after drilling one hole in rocky soil. This one held up for a dozen holes and is showing minimal signs of wear, despite chewing through rocks and hard packed dirt. Works well with a dewalt 20v drill or similar. Careful it doesn't rip the drill out of your hands! ... show more

  • The large but is weak at the chuck end....
Size: 1.6 x 8.6 + 3 x 12 + 2 x 14.5 + 2.6 x 16....
The large auger bit tried to bend when I used it, so I would not use that one unless you're using it in soft soil. Other than that, the next larger one worked flawless for digging a hole for a few garden fence posts.

  • Good Quality and a Real Time Saver
Size: 2 x 32 Inch
I needed this to install termite traps and it cut through my gravel driveway (8" of small stone) and all of the soil types around my property. I was surprised by how fast I was able to install them and there was no damage to the bit. I can see how this would also be great for planting bulbs. My only caution is to use a hammer drill with a side handle to deal with the torque. Your wrists will thank you. ... show more
