This is a nice hoist. I use it today to stand up a tree that was leaning pretty bad. The tree had a good amount of weight, it was a struggle to pull back the Handel on my cable cone a long. How did I live without this all my life?? This thing is absolutely awesome! Chain is heavy, so be realistic about your load and length requirements - more/bigger is not better, unless you really need it. My 20 ft 3,300 lbs unit is on the borderline of being prohibitively heavy and cumbersome for portable needs.

Loved this hoist! Its very basic and simple to use. The only thing I have issues with is it's very easy to toggle the fwd/rvrs switch while using it so I had to set up a secondary rope with a repel device for safety.

I love this thing. I take down trees once in awhile on our property and sometimes I need to use alittle directional assistance with a cable and a come-along but it always felt unsafe. With this hoist it is so much beefier and now I am more comfortable. It is heavier to drag through the woods but that is fine by me.
