I used this to load up a table saw onto the back of my Tundra which is pretty high off the floor. The table saw is 500+ pounds and I was able to do it with little help just to stabilize it while going up and down. Absolutely recommend for anyone needing to load up heavy equipment.

I have used many chain hoists at work and I am very particular about what I use. I am very happy with this one. It's very lightweight yet solidly built. Running the chain in to tighten up slack is as simple as pulling on the lead end and it holds fast. So far I have used this to lift some motors which weight around 440 pounds (200kg) and there was absolutely no hesitation while cranking. Operation was smooth in either direction and I had absolutely no issues. The storage case that comes with this hoist fits perfectly and is neither too big or too small so you can actually stack them should you choose to do so

So far I've used this to hoist some large windows to 2nd story level, to place another 8' window, and to pull a monstrous sewer cable up a ramp into the truck. The lever handle is small, and the unit swivels too easily while cranking, but the lowering is better than the other rig I've been using, and the compact stored size is great. Edit: Now in use over 1 1/2 years. Still happy.

We used these to instal large rough sawn beams in a tall vaulted ceiling. We set the beams on saw horses. Hooked one of these to each end and cranked them up. There would have been no way to lift them by hand. The hoists worked excellent.
