Description

Maasdam Pow'R-Pull is the home of the original cable puller since 1946. For over 60 years, Maasdam has produced Pow'R-Pulls to exacting standards. The Maasdam Pow'R Pull A-50 Long Haul Rope Puller Come Along Tool includes 50 feet of highway approved 1/2 diameter wear resistant Dacron polyester rope and can also accommodate an unlimited length of rope such as Dacron polyester rope - twisted or braided. It has a one-piece aluminum alloy ratchet wheel and high strength electro-plated steel parts. The A-50 features Notch-At-A-Time Let for positive control and a trouble-free letdown. It has a long, flexible reach; conforming to and protecting your load. The A-50 is ideal for recovering vehicles, clearing debris, handling trees, logs, stumps, securing materials to trucks, moving boats and trailers, transporting furniture, and other applications. This rope puller tool also features a reinforced ratchet guard and a pawl safety spacer sleeve. With a 10:1 leverage, the Maasdam Pow'R Pull A-50 also has drop-forged steel slip hooks, and a non-slip plastic grip for a comfortable anti-fatigue handhold. The A-50 is constructed with a cold-rolled, high strength, tempered steel handle, and a high tensile, fully rotating steel swivel. Assembled in the USA and using only premium components, we produce the finest quality winch/puller available backed by a full Lifetime Warranty - a first for domestic winches. Advantage of this type come-a-long: way longer than a ratchet strap & rope is continuously flowing through winch so there’s no “drum bind” (when strap quickly fills up drum). No wire splinters from a wire winch. Cons: rope will slip and chafe if you over crank on lever. These generally don’t pull as hard as a ratchet strap or cable winch. I use this to direct the fall of trees after cutting. So much better than a come-along. The length of the pull is fantastic. I can pull tension to a point then use the lever to crank with great pulling power. Great tool.

Love this thing. Super convenient and safe having limitless pull through. You have to hold the slack on tension if not full tension, otherwise, rope will slip. Wish I had this when I started taking trees down on the property.

Beats using straps and chains - though you do need those for heavy work. I wish I had gotten it years ago. Primarily use it for assist in felling old or storm damaged trees. Saves a lot time. See it's use on youtube.

I used this thing to rescue a tree that had fallen down. All the rain storms had softened the soil so much that a beloved tree fell over. After extensive trimming and a long wait, the remaining tree still seemed to be alive and growing. So I bought one of these, attached to a much bigger tree, and winched it upright. By myself. I then used ratchet straps and stakes to hold the tree in place until its roots recover. I also used this thing to fell a tree limb which had pushed over my garden wall. By sawing through most of the limb, I was able to winch it down from a safe distance, instead of risking it's fall while still sawing and up a ladder. Brilliant! ... show more

This has become the most useful tool I own. Worth every penny. I simultaneously bought the handheld Warn electric winch, and this blows the Warn away. The rope puller I bought came with 50ft of rope, but if you've got a longer rope (of the right diameter), it'll pull the entire length. This means no resetting the line. I used it to move/slide/roll some 3000-4000 lb logs with no issues ... show more
