They are considerate to send a couple little straps to take in the excess, but I have had to purchase several extra straps to wrap up the extra material so that it doesn't collect water. This is a very sturdy, high quality canoe cover. Our Canadian canoe is approx. 16ft. It was advised to take a cover which is a bit longer. This cover is too long/big but it comes with straps, so we can strap the restmaterial with the rest. We think it is better to have a cover that is too big, than to have one, which fits true to size and has - for instance - a zipper that you can barely close. We recommend this cover! ... show more

This kayak cover is very wide. There is a lot of extra fabric for my narrow sea kayak. The zipper only opens for a small distance and it is hard to slide the kayak in. It is waterproof and does protect my kayak.
