I live in North Florida so really don't need a heated bathroom floor but since I was remodeling the entire room, I figured even if it didn't work, it was worth a try. Plus, who doesn't like a heated bathroom floor? It came with everything needed to include a tool to make sure you didn't cut or short out the wires during install. I hooked up the tester and just left it on while I worked. Just for additional info, I am not a professional tile installer, as a matter of fact, this is the first tile floor I have ever installed and I made so many mistakes, I had to take up the tile three times to correct issues as I was installing. (I'm kind of a perfectionist so couldn't live with tiny imperfections). I broke the heating wire, three separate times when removing the tile due to some carelessness. Thankfully, what I lack in tile laying skills I make up for in my electrical skills and soldered the broke connections back and used heatshrink to cover it. The little tester went off like it should when I broke them and it cleared when I repaired the wire. Not sure if I permanently damaged the heating wire, so I plugged everything into power and started it up. Worked perfectly to include the repaired damaged sections. Very happy with everything so far.

Installed as directed, wired as directed, thermostat works and the floor temp probe lets you know what the temperature is. But the heater doesn’t have enough wattage to do anything. I put the unit on top of 7/8 osb with a plastic barrier in 1/2 of bare mortar with no covering. Let set and it’s been running for 12 days straight never cycling off and it will not get the floor 5 degrees over the rooms temp. So room is 58 degrees this morning and floor is at 55. It’s pulling amps but it’s not strong enough to do the job. floor temp probe is between two runs of the element near the top of the mortar. Going to unhook and rip it all out today and install something else. Non returnable because you have lay concrete to test the thing. Waste of time and money 80 Dollar unit cost me 500 in labor and supplies just for it not to be worth using.

The floor mat installation instructions were find and including the heating Thermostat control unit. After a few days of the tile being laid I try the thermostat and all worked well. Inexplicably three months later the thermostat red light started to flash, even in the off position. I attempted to find contact info for the company. there is none email. I emailed Vevor and Amazon requesting thermostat info and contact info for Vevor. Amazon promptly responding that Vevor would contact me. Vevor sent instructions on how to lay the mat nothing about the Thermostat. Still no contact info. I ended purchasing an thermostat, and installing the new one all working. So if you think you might need assistance regarding the radiant heat matt and the thermostat, look around to another company that has contact info.
