    • Won’t work on a small block Chevy !!!! REALLY
I bought this to work on big and small block Chevy engines. Both have the same bell housing bolt configuration. First time I used it found out it won’t stretch wide enough to mount on the two lower bell housing bolts. I tried every configuration to try and get it to work ….. in the end I had to drill a hole on the edge of the plate to make it fit!!! Works fine for a short block but I don’t trust it with a complete engine due to the lack of metal where I had to drill the hole . ... show more

Worked good for what I was doing( holding engine up while doing swap) however the lower front bar with the two wheels was crooked and when spinning the engine to reseal it, the stand kept teeter tottering. Also the rear bracket that bolts on the the engine were too short and I was only able to use 3 out of the 4. Over all it worked good and if those two things were fixed it would be perfect. ... show more

    • Warning: Does not fit Full-Size American Truck Engines
The Engine Plate Arms are too short to reach the appropriate Bell Housing bolt locations for most American truck engines. Do not bother buying the engine stand for a full-size Ford, Chevy, GMC, etc. truck gas engine, or be prepared to fabricate at least 2 new arms adding approximately 1.5" in length to the stock plate arm. Other than that it is your usual lower cost- lower quality Chinese manufactured tool. You get what you pay for here. Honestly, if the plate was the correct size, for the cost this is not a bad buy. Just beware. Hopefully, this review saves someone from making my mistake. ... show more

I am pretty much satisfied with the VEVOR 3/4 Ton Engine Stand. However, There are a few issues that I am dissatisfied with. First, the 4 mounting arms that attach the engine to the stand itself were missing. I went back and read other reviews and found others had experienced this as well. Also, the rotating head assembly that is used to rotate the engine at various angles is not drilled properly so the engine can't be set horizontally. It is off probably 10-15 degrees and thus all the other angled settings are off as well. I contacted the manufacturer customer service per instruction in the users manual about the missing parts. After many back and forth emails requesting receipts, and many photos of the engine stand and nameplate they shipped the parts. I am sure they were just stalling, hoping I would just give up my attempt to get the missing parts. But, you cannout use this stand without the engine mounting arms. It took about two weeks before I had all the parts. In retrospect, I would not purchase this item. I would pay a little more and buy on from a source like harbor freight where you can actually put your hands on the item you are purchasing. ... show more

I am giving it four stars due to the hardware being less than crap. Not nearly as inadequate as the instructions, but we were able to bring it together ending in a sturdy well built engine mount the rolls effortlessly on the concrete floor whether it was weighted down or empty. The head can be adjusted to accommodate almost any motor/engine by adjusting the bolt pattern based on your needs. I would suggest getting new hardware for that as well. When not in use, it can be folded down significantly and stored out of the way. That might be my favorite feature to this mount. ... show more

First off, as a steel fabricator, I know how this was built. There is bad quality, and there is just plain not caring what you build or sell. I bought this engine stand because I was in a pinch and needed something quick. If I ordered in the next 2hrs,20mins, I would get it in two days. I received it a week later. Too late to do me any good. Even then I decided to assemble and keep it for the next project. Once I had it together I could see what I had. It looked like it had been dropped from a tall building. It was warped/twisted. Only three of the four wheels touched the floor. The mounting plate locating holes were off. Nothing about it was square or straight. While it did all bolt together (with sketchy hardware), it was not something I wanted to hang my engine from. And I wasn't going to fix something that I had paid good money for. Surely these people know what they are selling. Its not that hard to adjust a welding fixture, or drilling jig. This is just plain not caring about your product. I boxed it back up and a shipper came and picked it up. I never heard anything from the seller. After a two week wait, Amazon was kind enough to refund the purchase price, no problem. ... show more
