  • Champion is KING for LP generators! Learned from experience!
Previously purchased the similar wattage Westinghouse dual fuel generator as to me the name brand had more recognition. Needless to say, I was wrong. The Westinghouse genertaor simply would not run on propane. As a hunter, I will happily deal with propane over gasoline. Also, with propane, the run time will last all night (longer than a full tank of gas), there's no need to change out the jets in the carb depending on which elevation I am hunting in, and no need to drain any unused fuel when not in use. After reading a LOT of reviews, Champion is apparently the "go to" brand for generators like this. After pouring in the oil and a couple cranks, the generator is now broken in and appears to be very reliable as is the most critical part of owning a generator. I will update this review to save everyone else the same headache if anything changes. ... show more

  • Outstanding Genny
I purchased this inverter generator because hurricane Beryl blew though Houston and I was without power for several days. I was fortunate enough that it was delivered the very next day. I had trouble starting it at first but once it got going the starts got easier after refueling. The unit was able to suit my needs and I was able to run my refrigerator and deep freeze with a box fan for 8 hrs on 1 gal of fuel and was very pleased with that. I have yet to try the propane feature but will soon. If you thought about purchasing this equipment do it because it was a great purchase for me. I just wish I had purchased it sooner and won't had suffered the Hot sweaty nights that I did. Thanks Champion and look forward to great things going forward. ... show more

  • Powerful and Quiet Generator for Versatile Use
This generator is a game-changer for anyone who needs reliable power on the go. The Champion Power Equipment 2500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator is a beast when it comes to performance. It's super quiet, so you won't annoy your camping buddies or neighbors when you fire it up. Plus, the CO Shield technology is a lifesaver, keeping you safe from harmful carbon monoxide exposure.I took this bad boy camping last weekend, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. Not only did it power up all our devices and appliances with ease, but it did so without making a racket. The dual fuel capability is a nice touch too - gives you options depending on what's available. The only downside I can think of is that it's a bit on the heavier side compared to some other portable generators. But hey, I'd take a bit of extra weight for the power and peace of mind this baby provides any day! ... show more

  • Pleasantly Supersized
I had three primary criteria when shopping for a 2XXXW generator: 1. Quiet operation 2. Dual fuel capability 3. Solid run time on one LP tank Those were my non-negotiables. After two full weeks of researching, I finally settled on the Champion , and I’m so glad I did. I ordered it on Amazon Sunday evening, and it arrived Wednesday afternoon. Fast shipping was a nice bonus, but the real wow moment came when I opened the box. The packing was genuinely impressive , everything was so well protected and thoughtfully arranged. All the accessories were right there, including the oil. No hunting around or missing parts. Setup was ridiculously easy. No tools needed. I removed a cover, added the supplied oil, put the cover back on, hooked up the propane tank, and it started on the third pull. I was honestly surprised by how smooth and light the pull was , nothing strenuous at all. But what really blew me away was the noise level. Even standing right next to it, I could comfortably take a phone call without raising my voice. That’s impressive. Another pleasant surprise was how manageable the weight is, especially with that wide, well-designed carry handle. It actually feels easy to move around. I tested all the outlets and power ports, then let it run unloaded for 8 hours. It was so quiet that I literally forgot it was running while I was inside the house! Registering for the warranty was just as straightforward , just basic info like name and address. Super simple. Overall, if you’re looking for a generator in this size range with dual fuel capability, I really don’t think you’ll find a better out-of-the-box experience. From opening the box to having it running took me about 15 minutes following the quick start guide. Champion absolutely nailed it. ... show more

  • Runs nicely now
Running this generator on LPG only it was a chore at first. I deducted one star since at the beginning I could not start the generator, no matter what I tried. I pulled and pulled and pulled over a 2 day period nothing. Also went to youtube and watched every review I could find to solve the problem, nothing, not one suggestion or trick worked. I was just close to return this thing since Amazone has 30 day return. Before return I decided to contacted Champion over phone and also email. 1 youtuber, after contacting also Champion, got a new Gas-Regulator and it fixed his problem right away. I told that to them and they had no problem sending me a new one too. Got the new one and noticed this one had a tiny hole in the middle of the second stage regulator, meaning sticking a toothpick in it would press the diaphram and it should release gas from the first stage into the hose that connects into the generator. Sure enough, I smelled gas coming out the end of the hose not connected to the generator. Connected the hose to the generator and the generator dial on joke position made for the first time a life sign like he wants to start. Switching right away to the gas position, it died. Over again and then actually the generator was running a bit longer on joke, turning the dial I noticed while turning the dial it started running great but died as soon as it got to the gas position. Started again and I was turning the dial slowly and the generator was running full when the dial was between joke and gasoline on the dial, waited a moment turning the dial to the gas position and all was fine. In my case I fill the hose with gas first with the toothpick, connect hose, dial to joke, starts a bit running and turn the dial slowly over between joke and gasoline on the dial and then to gas position and generator runs. Sometine it shutoff before I was between on the dial but pulling the cord and it would run right away. Starting problem resolved. But then the generator stopped working after 10~15 mins with co2 alarm. Contacting Champion and they sent me a new co2 module and now that problem was solved too. The one thing I was a bit shocked was the invoice that came with the replacment parts for me both times $0 but listprice listed for gas regulator $160 and co2 module $181. Youtube shows actually a trick to disable the co2 alarm completely and I would consider this any time before I would buy a new co2 module. I never had the intention to run this or any other generator in my bedroom. :) Generator now runs nice and smooth. ... show more

  • Works like a champ
Been using this for a year and it's preformed great although it has not run on propane. There was one issue on the road when it sputtered but that could be altitude or faulty gasoline. I try to use non-ethanol gas when I can and when I don't I let the generator run until gas is empty from the lines. The generator powered my RV for 8 hours on one tank while in sitting in snow although I kept the electrical usage to "need to have" such as two small space heaters and a couple of lights. I turned off a heater to run the two burner stove. I think it's a great buy for the money. Always break it in for an hour or more then change the oil. Champion seems to always get good reviews on Youtube. ... show more
