I got this because my neighbors pigeons new family started to make their home under my solar panels. The metal is a nice thickness and takes not to much effort to bend if needed. The installation was easygoing for me. Just note how you put the hooks on the ring, if you put it on the wrong way there is no way to take off the ring once they are on. I put them on almost two months ago and I have not heard or seen a pigeon under my solar panels. ... show more

I recently bought another home that had solar panels already installed. What it also came with was a flock of pigeons (10+) residing under them. Needless to say the amount of pigeon poop on the roof, clogging the gutters & falling down all around the house was disgusting. So I needed to fix it fast. I did numerous Google searches for solutions. Not very helpful. Just a bunch of ads for solar cleaning. Came across a YouTube video & saw what the fix is. Came to Amazon & ordered this. It was the cheapest, admittedly. But I have a 28 panel system & I was going to need a lot of linear footage but didn’t have a bunch of money leftover after the home purchase. Not only was this simple to install (even on wavy cement tiles), but it really worked. The pigeons returned after installation & circled the panels for a day. Then they disappeared! No more early morning scratching on the roof, no more cooing and no more poop. People have said this stuff is to flimsy & won’t keep out critters. If you install it right, nothing can get under it. The only question is how long will it hold up to the element year over year. But aside from that, I’d buy this stuff 10x over! ... show more

I purchased this to put around my solar panels to keep the pigeons from nesting underneath. Thankfully, a roofer who was doing some other work on my house installed it for a small fee so I didn't have to climb up there and do it myself. It's been on there for 1 year now and no issues. I did notice 1 clip on the ground after a bad storm, but I looked it over thoroughly and can't see where one is missing so I'm not sure if that was an extra, or one that fell in the gutter. Overall seems pretty great so far! Arrived today and installed today. Good condition out of the box unlike some reviews I saw, came with plenty of fasteners as well as some twist ties. Didn't take me too long to get the whole array protected now. My only note to others would be I bought the 6" since that was about the exact height I needed, which doesn't give a lot of room for extra protection so the extra 2" of an 8" might have been better so I could have bent it flat against the roof but we'll see how it holds up with the pigeons that keep trying to nest under them. Used the excess length on the attachment wire to bend down and out to try to hold it outward as well to make it harder to be pushed under if they tried rather than cut them off. This will hopefully still allow me to slide snow off the panels easily. ... show more

I installed these all around my solar panels to keep pigeons from nesting underneath them. Installation was straight forward and easy. I have 20 solar panels and the wire was just enough to cover all the sides. I recommend you have wire cutters for installing. Recommend to keep pigeons away!
