First regarding the setup, I found the wing nuts were difficult to tighten for the bracket without the screws freely turning in the frame. Holding the screws from turning with a screwdriver was awkward, so I replaced the screws with a couple of hex head bolts that the heads would fit in the frame and be prevented by the frame from turning. I had to enlarge the holes slightly for this hex head bolt, and used a different pair of wing nuts that matched the bolt threads. This made the bracket very easy to adjust the resting angle of the panel. The solar panel maintained charge of a deep cycle 85 A-hr lead acid battery. I connected it to a 15' string of bright LEDs that draw 0.4 A. These I operate 9 hr a night using a timer connected between the batter and the lights. I used a https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WR0ELCO?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details timer. Using a 20W panel I was able to put the approx. 3.6 A-hr of charge back onto the battery plus a little, so the system was net positive and eventually reached full charge indicated by the charging system indicator. 7/18/23: Came well packaged, no issues there. Was putting out around 12.5v in shaded sun, almost 13 in direct sun. Construction: mounting the swivel bracket wasn’t the easiest to install or I have fat fingers that don’t fit into the channel around the panel. Couldn’t for the life of me figure out why I couldn’t get the wing nut started… turns out it wasn’t threaded (photo). I had other hardware, so not a huge problem but then I started looking at everything else. The panel is glued to the aluminum frame, hopefully that holds up in the weather. The alligator clips vs eyelets is a nice idea - instead of XXft for each, maybe next batch we double the overall length, and include shorter 12” pigtails to change the ends. Same amount of wire, but more length for users. Less waste (In my opinion anyways). I’ll try and remember to come back and update after a bit. See how clear the glass stays, glue around perimeter, etc. ... show more

I purchased this to keep a battery charged for my chicken net fence energizer. It worked flawlessly for 6 months and I noticed the controller seemed non-responsive yesterday. I purchased a new controller from the manufacturer on Amazon and received the replacement in a day and all was well. I contacted the company as it has a 1 year warranty. They refunded my purchase price for the replacement controller and was handled over chat via Amazon. No phone calls, no hassle. Panel is sturdy and well constructed. The quick clip connectors makes it easy to remove panel from alligator clips or permanent leads attached to battery. Light on controller indicates charged or charging status. Includes a bracket for panel mounting options. I just used the holes in the side of the panel to bungee it to the front of my trailer facing the sun. Very happy with this item especially the value for the price ... show more

This 20 W charger seem to charge my battery in the RV with only half day son which I like a lot so I bought another one. The only problem is the battery clips, alligator clips are very cheap, so I use a set that I already had owned.

So far it seems to be working fine. The lights on the controller box are kinda confusing. It’s only been in use for a few days but seems like it will work as expected. Ran a volt/amp meter on it and it’s producing a advertised.
