I'm really happy with the quality of the carrier itself and all the accessories that came in this kit. We recently had a child, and packing for trips started getting harder with the addition of a pack and play, stroller, an extra suitcase, etc. This works great to hold extra cargo and free up space in the car. The only complaint I have is that the assembly instructions were pretty much useless. It was just a numbered list of hard to follow steps with no diagrams whatsoever. I ended up just throwing the instructions out and winging it. I bought this for our family vacation, we needed something to help make room for all the suitcases. It is 100% fantastic. Worth every penny, assembly was a litte questionable as there aren't clear instructions but I looked up a YouTube video and got it together. Since then, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. We used it on vacation, which it rained for 3 hours during our drive, but the waterproof cover worked to perfection. Completely dry. We also used it again when we went camping and it fit 2 large tents, a large cooler, and several fold up chairs. Love this thing ... show more

I was skeptical on purchasing this product, because of far it extended from vehicle, but I was thoroughly surprised with the product and suitability it provided while traveling. Used it for a road trip and it did more than I expected. The extended features allowed me load all of my bags and still have access to my back hatch on my SUV and did not touch my cargo on the hitch. The reason I gave 4 of 5 stars was the stabilizer plate “U” bolt broke, but it did not affect the ride on the road trip. I would recommend this product if you need the additional room for your SUV. I was very impressed with this cargo carrier. It’s very sturdy, looks good and the folding option makes it a 10. The only thing I can say that needs to be improved is the instructions (pretty hard to follow) and the pin that is used to store the carrier in the upright position. The pin fits a little loose which allows the carrier basket to rattle when you’re traveling. It would be nice if the pin was equipped with a sleeve to hold the upright basket firmly to the drawbar.     • Missing parts, VEVOR claims shipped parts. They have not. 3 weeks later, sending product back.
Durable, easy to assemble. Was missing a rotary bolt and pin. I reached out to Vevor for a replacement, so I’ll update my review if it comes in the mail. UPDATE: VEVOR says they’re sending parts over and over again, while trying to close out ticket. They did not and have not sent me the missing part after dealing with them for a month. I’m sending product back. So, they assured me the parts were on the way, and in 3 days, I finally received the missing parts and the 5 week ordeal has ended. I kept the carrier, inserted the missing parts and it works well, sturdy, well structured. Took a road trip with around 450 lbs cargo and it held up fine, no rattles or sagging. We had the whole thing assembled and attached to our van through the hitch. then I was getting ready to put the stabilizer plate on and noticed the nut on one of the u-bolt posts was not threading correctly onto it. See the pictures. Either the u-bolt was not cut correctly, or the threading of the u-bolt was botched. In either case, I could not get the nut on the bolt post correctly. You can see in one picture the nut is not going onto the bolt level like it should. And in the other picture shows the limit of how far down the nut can go on the bolt until it seizes. The lower nut is the correctly threaded bolt in both pictures. Had to return it and purchase a different brand as I don’t have time to wait for their replacement. ... show more

    • Easy to Install and use on long trip.
Left Kingsport Tn around 10 am for a trip to tidewater, Va with 7 people and luggage for 2 weeks, in a Honda Pilot w/3 row seating. It took all of 30 minutes to install the carrier and the luggage into the hitch. Loaded the waterproof carrier with most of the luggage, cinched it down with the straps provided, and made it through a 7 hour trip with no damage. Went through several rainstorms with no wet luggage. This was the best deal we could find, spending $187.50 sales tax included. The instruction to put this together took about 2 hours to complete it using metric sockets and a quality electric drill. They could have been clearer, but with 60+ locking nuts and bolts, it was done easily. ... show more
