Easy to put together, comes with the clamps to secure to your factory bars. Like all the other reviews mention, giant painted orange logo, was easy to sand off in a few minutes. and stock black paint will fade over time, so hit it with some clear coat or outdoor black paint and you'll be set. Haven't tested out the load capacity, it seems well built and you could probably toss a hippo up there it would hold. Time to peel off my "No Fat Chicks" sticker.

I read alot of reviews and this one was discounted and the right size for my rooftop. One review I read made so much sense to me… use flex seal spray on every hole and connections. Then spray with truck bed liner. So why was this critical? Not only does it add layers of protection and seals the unit so no rust, but also the bed liner gives it a slightly rough surface. If you’ve had roof racks of any sort, they seem to always whistle. People do strange things to break up the wind. That review and doing this was absolute genius! I went on my first ride just now and not even a clue something was up there! Excellent job!

The outer dimensions are shown in the photos. In reality, the usable rack space is 32" wide by 37" long. I bought this carrier to put another existing one inside of it, doesn't fit as I mistakenly used the as shown dimensions. The front air deflector is held in by 5 small spot welds on the top and bottom edge. When excited by airflow, it becomes a vibrating snare drum, rattles and noisy. I caulked the inside edges to dampen the resonance. The baskets rib cage didn't fit the tubular frame. Rather than welding metal to metal, or getting the pieces to fit, weld bridges were built between the non fitting joints. Not good quality. This basket did fit properly on top of the car carrier cross bars.

We bought this specifically to haul the gas can for our lawn mower. We just got a new Jeep & didn't want to put a gas can inside the vehicle & breathe the fumes from the gas, nor have the smell of gas penetrate the fabric & possibly stick around for weeks. It's easy to put on & off. We store it in our shed...slides right in. Does what we bought it for...and the Jeep doesn't stink of gas.
