Having quite a few other various products from this manufacturer, which have performed well, I wanted to try out something automotive. This floor jack feels very sturdy. I like the addition of the bumper foam on the handle as added protection against dings and scrapes to paint. The two piece handle is convenient for storage, though I will likely keep it assembled and ready for use in the shop. The low profile cutaway design does well for positioning under lower clearance vehicles, aiding in getting to tricky lift points. The double piston hydraulics work great, actually only taking 5 full strokes (under no load) to achieve maximum height. Once loaded, pumping is smooth and easy, and the release is also variable and smooth to prevent from drop shock. I would have liked a little bigger lift pad and it does squeak a bit during pumping operation, but still manages to perform admirably and is a welcome addition to the garage. ... show more

This car jack presents an alarming level of danger in its design and functionality. Despite its claim of being lightweight due to aluminum components, a significant portion is, misleadingly, constructed from steel. This deceptive design not only compromises safety but also gives a false impression of its actual weight. VERY HEAVY! The structural issues become apparent in its construction, which prioritizes aesthetics over functionality and robust support. The slender and comparatively smaller metal posts offer inadequate support, leading to a horrifying scenario where the jack tilts forward, causing the lifted car to shift and potentially endangering the user. The first critical problem arose when attempting to lift a GS350, only to find that it stopped halfway. Investigation revealed unlike other hacks this has a missing oil screw, replaced with a precarious rubber plug that you push in and out. This design flaw introduces a serious safety hazard, particularly in colder climates, where the rubber may become brittle and crack, leading to oil leakage while the car is elevated causing harm to the user. The inherent risk of the jack lifting unevenly, demonstrated by the unsettling experience of the front tire lifting while the back wheels also ascended, further solidifies its status as an unsafe and unreliable car jack. Considering these perilous shortcomings, I strongly advise against using or keeping this jack due to its hazardous design and potential life-threatening consequences.
