Every gear has burrs that end up making a LOT of NOISE, considering going BACK to plastic. But that would take 4 hours of tear down and rebuild

This review is for the 27pcs lathe gear set. First off I did not expect anything less then the hassle free installation of a higher quality gear set after reading the description. After opening the box I found a bag of gears dinged up from almost no packing effort just tossed in a bag and then a box. The kit did not come with the belts as stated in the description. All gear's needed deburring, keyway's filed to fit. The main spindle gears ID honed to size. In all the work I had to do and less the parts I PAID FOR!!!!. The price is to high for this product.

Bought these gears as a first upgrade for my Grizzly G0756. Needless to say, from the title, I would not buy again. Beware that, for me, none of these gears fit as they should. All needed some file fitting for I.D. and Keys (where applicable). Went through all the work for the better part of a whole day and that didn't even include the headstock gears, fire it up and the gears were not meshing worth a crap. Checked the adjustment several times and still no good. Finally tore it apart and put back the plastic gears. This pisses me off! These were expensive and I can't just send them back after filing some. Live and learn.
