  • Perfect
For an inexpensive stand, it is stunningly perfect. VERY solid, very easy to assemble, excellent instructions, and very adjustable (overall width, working height, and the positions of the two platforms where the lathe screws down). I replaced with feet with locking casters but the original rubber feet are adjustable for levelling the lathe. Absolutely no complaints!! ... show more

  • Study and Fit my Turncrafter Pro Midi Lathe Perfectly.
I have owned a Turncrafter Pro from Penn State Industries for years. For a long time, it sat on a bench, then I used lathe stand I got for free but did not fit my lathe. I basically had to clamp the lathe to the old stand. Plus, I had the extension bead. In general, I have not been a fan of WEN products, but a stand I thought. How can they screw this up. As it turned out they did not screw it up. It went together easily, and the mounting holes lined up with the mounting holes in the base of my lathe. Of course, I had to buy an extension for the base to accommodate the lathes extension. It all went together easily and now my midi lathe has a permanent home. BTW.....the instructions are not great. But if you take you time, it will go together quickly and easily. P.S. I am that guy who writes instructions for a living, so when I say the instructions are not great, I am being kind. But to be fair, the process is not complicated and if work with your hands and have common sense, it is not a hard build. ... show more

  • If it’s Wen, it’s going to be a bargain. If it’s Wen, it’s going to be a bargain.
This stand is rock solid. I can’t budge it in any direction and I tried. A lathe catch can easily shift your stand and vibrations from an untrued piece can start it walking. This stand is not going anywhere. It’s made of heavy gauge steel, hefty enough to stay put and well designed to accommodate any mini to midi lathe. The instructions are clear and concise with good illustrations. I especially like that the bolts, washers, nuts and rubber feet are pre assembled and all the same so there is no confusion or wasted time figuring out what goes where. Very easy to put together. Very happy which has been my overall experience with everything I’ve bought from Wen. ... show more

  • Good but could be better
Purchased this stand for my Ricon lathe. It is a very robust stand made of solid steel. The welds are perfect and this thing is a beast. My only problem was with how the 2 halves are joined together. They are 2 pieces of square tubing that one smaller on slides into the larger one. There is too much play in the tube sizes and it makes for a very loose fit. This makes it very difficult to set the overall length of the stand because it would sag in the middle while trying to adjust it. My lathe is 36” long and this stand is just barely big enough for it to fit. It’s well made but needs a few modifications. ... show more

  • Super deal for a great stand
It was easy to setup, and way more stable than I expected! Hardware is good and it holds more than it is rated for without issues (so I hear). Seriously I put a small metalworking lathe on it and steel chip pan, zero complaints, works perfectly!

  • a SOLID STARTER BENCH
in need of a new bench for a new lathe, and not being able to locate one that wasn't super expensive, or super far away, i decided to give this bench a try. I have had other products from WEN, and they have all been solid products. This bench is no different. IT was easy to assemble. all of the holes lined up, all of the bolts fit easily and had the correcty number of nuts and washers. The only downsides are it is a little light for what i need from it. not a big deal, as i added another 150 LBS to the base of the table. The other minor issue is the feet don't seem to hold their position as far as balancing the table. They seem to wiggle and slip out of alignment every so often. Not a big deal, just a little work to keep the tablet level once in a while. Overall,, it is a solid work bench/table for my lathe, does the job i need it to, and i would recommend to a friend. ... show more
