  • Nice rack unit
Size: 12U
Only real negative thing was putting the top screws in were a bit difficult but I also dont have a big(18/20v) electric screwdriver just a little electronics one but was able to manage with pliers to help. Like others said dont fully tighten the screws until fully built once together and tighten down its a solid unit, got a 16channel mixer on top and a 1u interface in it so far and holds em nice,im happy with the quality for the price ... show more

  • great rack for the price great rack for the price
Size: 16U
Great unit with lots of space. Easy to build. Wheels are nice with locks to hold in place. Makes my studio setup look more professional. Most of the screws were difficult to put on when i tried to hand tighten first. Comes with some hardware to put in units but not enough if you plan on filling it up all the way. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

  • Decent deal for the price if you put in a little legwork and things.... Decent deal for the price if you put in a little legwork and things....

Giving this 4 stars. Long review for all of us tech heads. Yeah yeah I went with the cheaper option. I think it was worth it for the home server lab type of thing. The nice ones were way more expensive. I went with this to make space, etc. Assembly: So, I started following the directions. I want to mention that it was only me trying to assemble this. I quickly learned that to follow the directions, you probably need 2 people, but it doesnt have to be that way. First, be sure to pre-thread all the screws on the bottom to thread them properly without attaching the supports. Then remove them, and follow the instructions. Also, use washers if you have them. See photos. The screw holes are largish so adding washers adds support. Ok, on to the top. The way the top works, you cannot pre-thread the screws. Everything seems out of square, because it is. So as a one man job, you need work gloves, and you def need to pull on the corners/etc to get everything to line up so you can install the screws. Lock all the wheels first. Installing the top took quite a bit of time. PRO TIPS: At the top of the rack on the sides are vent slots. Since I dont need every slot filled, I cut 2 pieces of 13" x 6" deck boards to attach that the top, and then I attached power strips to them on the inside for cable management. Worked out realllly well. See Photos. Product: its pretty sturdy for the price. I think the washers helped alot, and I would honestly trust it with alot more weight than what is in the specs after adding the washers. That server on the bottom is at least 60lbs, the PC is another 20lbs, the printer 40lbs, and everything else I think I am at the max weight, but it can definityly hold more. The packaging needs to be improved so that the ends do not open, and also crushed/bent. They only give you 24 m6 cage nuts/bolts, and 4 of them are used for a support bar as part of the assembly. This means you only have 20 for mounting things in the rack. In my case, fine. I didnt have that much, but if you are expecting all the hardware to support 16 1U devices, its not there and your going to need to order more. And with that, thats all I have to say about that. ... show more

  • Strong, good looking. Nightmare assembly!
Size: 12U
Strong and nice looking but assembly was a nightmare. The factory did not properly machine all the screw holes (especially on top), and it was so difficult to screw them in , using a power tool was impossible. I had to apply my entire weight and leverage using a manual screwdriver…and I still couldn’t always get enough torque. I actually got blisters on my hands. I feel like I was threading the holes into the 1/8 in steel myself. Easy to strip the Phillips screws, and a few of the screws I could not tighten all the way…and I gave up on those. Another issue is the vertical beams (rack rails) are very strong but their double L shaped (dual face plate) design prevents you from using some sliding two-sided mount shelves. There is not enough clearance for the mounts behind the face plate as there is another face plate right behind the front. Most rack rails only have a front face plate (not 2). . Check dimensions of your (add on purchase) shelves carefully. Would/could have been perfect if not for these flaws. Maybe we get what we pay for. ... show more

  • Terrible manufacturing, unacceptable custo e service.
Size: 12U
Terrible manufacturing. You can read other reviews with the same issue. The screw holes are smaller than the screw diameter, and therefore they don’t fit. I called customer service. First I talked to AI, but the communication was quickly transferred to a human. The human (Shaaban) asked me to send a picture after I explained the issue. I did. I’m still waiting for his response (25 min have passed so far). Very frustrating. Terrible product. Worst customer service. Requesting reimburse now. ... show more
