This is percale. It’s going to get wrinkly as hell. You’re going to need to iron the edges of the pillowcases and the sheet or they will develop a crease that eventually weakens and tears. As long as you understand that these are good sheets for the price. They start out a little scratchy but after a while they become cool and smooth which is why you’re buying percale in the first place. My only surprise and disappointment is that the bottom sheet gets loose because it’s not quite big enough to fit over my mattress which is only 11”. These say they go higher but I think they shrink a lot and then they don’t. July 2025 update: these sheets continue to perform adequately. I am glad I purchased two sets as the bottom sheet in one of the sets shrank considerably more than the other and often comes loose from the mattress. So if you are in the market for these sheets I recommend buying two sets just in case. And at the price point they’re at, that shouldn’t break the bank. ... show more

The insert states “ the cotton used in this sheet set is made from pure original Indian cotton.” Further, the cotton goes through minimal chemical treatment. That is what I want to sleep on! Easy care, just an eco friendly laundry detergent used, NO fabric's softener! There is minimal wrinkle, and once on the bed, they are flat and stay wrinkle free.
