So, this is a true and honest review after using this product for over 8 months! I purchased this because one of my dogs butt was stinky and he was scooting a lot. I have never had this issue with any other of my dogs and after doing research, I discovered Glandex. This has been a literally a great relief for my dog and also for our family. Since starting these, my dogs scooting has significantly decreased and the "wonderful fishy" smell has disappeared! His poop has been firmer which seems to help him naturally express his anal glands...saving me money from having this performed at the vets office. I’ve been using this product for a long time, and I can confidently say it has made a huge difference in my Shih Tzu’s digestive and anal gland health. Before discovering Glandex, we had to make two emergency vet visits, both just to get her anal glands expressed, costing over $800 total. That was more than enough for me to start looking for a better, long-term solution. Since starting these chews, my dog’s scooting has stopped, her digestion has improved, and we haven’t needed another vet trip for anal gland issues. My toy poodle is very sensitive about his tail and rectal area. Two years ago the tech at the Vet, when she took his temp, missed the rectal area and kept poking at it. As a result, he liked all the hair off his rectal are and tail. So I had him on this product, but there wasn't a problem, so I stopped giving it to him for 6 to 8 months. All of a sudden on April 20th, he was acting like he didn't feel well and his nose was warm and dry. Then I noticed that hie was liking the hair off his tail again. Plus he wouldn't eat his food. So I started him on glandex again. He has been eating for the past 6 days and his nose is cool again. Plus he isn't liking his tail anymore. Almost all the hair is gone, but it will grow again. I will keep him on glandex.

My vet recommended this product for my shih tzu dogs. My dogs are fussy about taking "treats" but I have no problems with this one. They love taking it because it smells and looks like a treat they are peanut butter flavored. They take one every day. It will probably take a while before I see the results of taking this. I am happy that they take it so willingly and will keep giving it to them for a while to see if it works like I think it should.

I wasn’t sure if this would help. My dog Orion is 8 years old and weighs 130lbs. She has trouble with her anal glands from time to time and a vet visit is truly expensive for the expression of these glands. So when she starts to show problems down there, I start her on a pumpkin, rice and chicken diet. I throw in the recommended amount of these and her symptoms do ease and go away. I sometimes try give them to her separately but most of the time she only eats these with her food. Over all I would by again. Cheaper than a vet visit and she is doing a lot better.

I purchased after reading the other reviews. To be honest, I was skeptical. Our pittie had issues expressing her glands and we'd have to release them for her. She's been on the chewable suppliments for 1 month. We would express her glands every 2 weeks. Nothing there to express today. So seems like the product says what it advertised. We still had to help her express 2 weeks in but 1 month in, nothing. If your a skeptic like me, try it out!

Works well! My dog had to be taken to the vet for expressions about every 2 months, he'd scoot, leave behind that smell and that was the only thing helping since he couldn't express himself and I'm not sure why. I started him on the powder version of this and I noticed changes within almost 2 weeks! No more scooting, no more smells, and he enjoyed the taste - now he isn't picky so I'm not sure how other dogs would take to it. He enjoys these as well because he sees them as "treats", however, I think pricewise and the amount of product received, the powdered version is better for a dog my boys size (65 lbs - 3 chews)

Apparently my dog has something wrong with one of her anal glands it gets full. She scoots on hard surfaces or gravel. Vet emptied them then told me to get these at first no difference then 1 a day. After a couple weeks started seeing some lessening now very very little licking or scooting. Its a miracle. Bought the large tub. Unbelievable. Everyone that came over thought she had worms it was so embarrassing. Now i dont have to explain anymore!!!
