Strong peppermint smell, which is pleasant. It also seems to kill fleas on contact. I sprayed the couch after steaming it, and I sprayed my dog’s bedding. I sprayed about twice weekly in addition to treating her with a dog collar. Super easy to use; you just spray it. Be consistent and in about a week you should see less fleas. It also lasted a long time, which made it cost effective for me. I definitely recommend it. And here is a picture showing how the fleas spread everywhere. ... show more

    • It works great every time, but bottles leak so keep upright

Great household staple. We were surprised to find this actually worked on fruit flies -- may work on other bugs too. Kills on contact and can help repel bugs if sprayed in an area near them (we're going to try it during mosquito season next). Read that the 2 active ingredients (clove oil and cottonseed oil) are natural insecticides. We like this b/c we have pets and it's a safer alternative than some of the harsh chemical bug sprays. But even though natural, it's still an insecticide so we're careful to follow all directions if using near our pets. I originally put 5 stars, but took one away b/c the bottles are defective. They leak (pour out) at the top of the cap if the bottle is tilted, even when the cap is supposedly on tight, so keep it upright and don't let it fall over or you will lose a good bit of the product. ... show more

This spray has worked extremely well for us. My son brings his cat when he visits, and I spray the areas where the cat will be sleeping both before and after he comes. Every time I do this, it’s been very effective at keeping fleas and ticks away. I also really appreciate that it’s plant-based, so I feel comfortable using it around our home and pets without worrying about harsh chemicals. It doesn’t have an overpowering smell and dries quickly, which is a big plus. It’s become part of our routine whenever a pet comes into the house, and I wouldn’t be without it now. ... show more

    • FIX THE TRIGGER otherwise, amazing!!!

This stuff is awesome and I use it for my personal cats and we use it in our cat rescue as well. It's the only one we use. The only bad thing is the trigger. Unfortunately it stops working after awhile and this is every single bottle so that really sucks. That is why I'm giving it 3 stars because it's very frustrating, especially when using in the cat rescue. The trigger really needs changed/fixed. ... show more

I'm going to have to keep this stuff on hand. It's great. My cat is so fidgety. She just does not sit still to let me run a flea comb on her and she gets fleas really bad in her head and ear area to the point that she gets scratch marks behind her ears. Well, this stuff I sprayed it on her neck and ear area carefully and it lathers up which I like. I looked at her neck area and it killed about 8-10 fleas in that area. I didn't even realize she had that many. After spraying her down I could tell they were jumping off her so I had to act fast to pinch them and put them underwater but I havent had a flea spray do that. I bought her Advantix for cats. The green spray can and lord the smell is just so strong so I definitely feel good about this purchase. She smells good and and it will definitely help her get some relief while we wait for her topical treatment to arrive. Oh yeah and my dog too. I bought him a spray too. His spray was the same brand but Peppermint scented and I have seen him scratch only once since I sprayed him down. It's nice to see him calm and not frustrated by the fleas. That poor dog was going crazy. Yes, I absolutely recommend this. Dont know how long it lasts but it gave them immediate relief for sure. Definitely worth it. ... show more
