I have been using these drops for my dog and haven't had any bugs on him. We live in a wooded area with plenty of fleas, ticks, & mosquitos. I think that they are equal to the more expensive brands. This product has a great value for the money, ease of use, smell (flavor), effect of fleas, and quality. On the other hand I reduced my overall review to a 4 because I am not sure it last for a full four weeks, it seems there is less in the tubes than there was before, and last but not least I it would be nice if the application tip separated the hair before it was applied. I have been using this product for at least four maybe five years now and I have had no problems at all beyond the issues I have stated that I feel would make its quality and value better. ... show more

I've used numerous OTC and prescription Flea and tick treatments over the past 25 years, this is one of the worst in regards to side effects. 85 lb male siberian husky/Shepard mix approximately 9 years old. He had never had a spot treatment for fleas/ticks before. Dog had never had flea problems until end of last year and after a few months of fighting them(both baths and spraying yard heavily) decided to give this spot treatment a try. Applied as directed to numerous spots(not my first rodeo so know how to apply). Within 6 hrs the dog had stomach problems, slimy stool primarily. His stool/poop schedule is solid and as routine as any dog I've ever seen. This wasn't totally unexpected as they can sometimes experience some minor stomach issues, usually it lets up within a couple of days. His did not and may have gotten worse. After 3 or 4 days it became an issue so he was washed thoroughly with dawn dish soap and a wheat shampoo. Within a day or so he returned to normal. I personally would not treat a dog with this. The only variable was the treatment, exactly the same homemade food as always and same water supply. As for flea killing it did kill/slow down 80% of them, but didn't repel any as far as I could tell. Ticks weren't an issue so cannot speak to its effectiveness on them(we had sprayed and used granulated yard treatment as ticks were an issue before I used this). Usually after a couple of days the stink from these treatments would subside but this one was bad and even after a bath it lingered for a couple of days. Broke my heart my little buddy had such bad reactions to it, I'll kill the fleas by hand and bathe once a week before I'd use this again. ... show more

Fleas get bad here in the state of Ky even my yard gets infested with them it’s so annoying. I have been trying different flea treatments under $50. Frontline worked ok but I was still finding fleas on my dogs . I found this flea medicine on Amazon with allot of good reviews , I bought it based on the reviews of the product and IT WORKS ! I am so happy I found this Flea medication. It helps my outside dogs and my inside dog. It doesn’t have a bad smell to it or leave my pets feeling greasy . It is waterproof and easy to apply . This brand has the weight limit that fit perfectly for all my dogs . I was able to buy one box of Advecta ultra size large with the weight limits being 21-55 pds ! With a 4 month supply I was able to treat all 3 of my dogs for one month with these weight restrictions and supply. The other flea products make it to were you have to buy a box of product for each size of dog / small /medium/ large . Which gets expensive. My smallest dog weighs 35pds my biggest dog weighs 55 pds . So this one box was all I needed. I couldn’t be more happier. Plus it came with stickers to put on your calendar so you know when to re apply the product. I will be purchasing this item again. You can’t beat this price either . It’s cheaper then most name brand products and works better ... show more
