Directions: READ ENTIRE LABEL BEFORE EACH USE AND USE ONLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH LABEL INSTRUCTIONS. For severe infestations, first consult your veterinarian for treatment recommendations. If your pet is undergoing any medical treatment or has known sensitivities or allergies, please consult your veterinarian before using this product. For Dogs 12 Weeks or Older Shake well before use. Sensitivity may occur with the use of any product on individual dogs. Spray a small amount on the dog, observing for any signs of sensitivity (skin irritation, rapid breathing, incoordination, etc.) for one hour. Thereafter, apply a light spray on the dog’s coat and brush in so product reaches the skin. Do not saturate or soak the coat. Use caution to avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, genitals, and other sensitive areas. Let coat dry completely before allowing dogs to groom themselves to minimize incidental ingestion. Wash hands thoroughly after use. If fleas or ticks are present, apply two (2) times per week with at least 48 hours between applications. For ongoing prevention and maintenance apply one (1) time per week. For Pet Bedding, Pillows, Blankets, Carpet, & Rugs Shake well before use. This product is designed to be non-staining, however, always apply a small amount to an inconspicuous area to test for colorfastness. Spray the surface uniformly with a light spray. Do not saturate or soak. Allow product to dry before allowing dogs to re-enter the area. Not recommended for use on fine furniture. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Apply one (1) to two (2) times per week with at least 48 hours between applications. To help reduce the occurrence of fleas and ticks, this product is best used year-round when combined with other Vet's Best® products for pets, home and yard. PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS HUMANS Causes moderate eye irritation. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after use. Prolonged or frequent repeated skin contact may cause skin irritation in some individuals. For external use only. DOGS Sensitivity may occur after use of any product with individual dogs. Monitor your dog for signs of sensitivity during and after application. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your dog with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs of sensitivity continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, medicated, pregnant, or nursing dogs. Do not use on or near puppies younger than 12 weeks old. OTHER DOMESTIC ANIMALS Use caution to avoid application on or near cats, fish, and other domestic animals. For external use only. FIRST AID IF IN EYES Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lens, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. I have NEVER written a review before. This past month and a half of dealing with a severe flea infestation has been one of the most challenging times I've ever experienced. I have spent so much money and tossed out so many things. I feel like we all need a support group. Did Vets Best totally fix my issue, no, but did it help immensely, speed the process up, and help with my state of mind? Sure did! Side note: HOW is there no easy way in the year 2023 to get rid of fleas?!? I don't want to get my hopes up too much that I am completely rid of Fleas, but I think I am for sure on somewhat of the other side of it. What I found most helpful during this process was reading everyone else's experiences, so I'll share mine in the hopes it helps at least one other person. My indoor (never outdoor, untreated) cat had been leaving this blackish dirt everywhere. I really had no idea what it was, I usually have my windows and screen door open and there was a lot of construction around my apartment, silly me just figured it was that...Well, I was scrolling through TikTok one night, and this woman is talking about how she noticed 'flea dirt' on her foster kitten, at that moment, everything just clicked into place for me. I checked my poor cat out, and sure enough I saw the little buggers. The next morning I woke up and my life has not been the same. Called the vet and they couldn't get him in for a few days (because of course), so I attempted a flea bath, but nothing is going to work until you treat the animal and start seriously treating your house. I have been vacuuming every single day, twice a day. I start with my big vacuum going around each and every wall of the house with the hose, and then I do a big vacuum. I then send the Roomba around. I did ultimately decide to toss my rugs, which some say was an overreaction, but anyone who is deep in the middle of this I think can understand. I vacuum the couch every other day. I did lay a sheet down over it, so the cat would have less contact. It took me about a week to start using the spray. At first, I bought WONDERSIDE, which I really liked the smell of the Cedarwood, however, that spray is VERY expensive and when I sprayed the floor, it left a film over it. I did spray Wondercide on my cat, but I don't really know how much that helped. As I was bleeding money, I was looking for a cheaper alternative, and I started using VETS BEST. I actually like spraying this on my couch and floors better. I've even used it in my car as a percussion. I have not sprayed VETS BEST directly on my cat. The smell is Spearmint, it's truly not super overpowering, lingers for a bit, and then dies down pretty quickly. And honestly, I would rather smell spearmint for 5 mins then have fleas running wild. Again, I cannot directly know for sure if this has done anything more than give me a little peace of mind, but let's put it this way, I just placed my 4th order. So, what would I say to someone just starting this terrible journey? 1. Treat your animal. My indoor cat will never be off flea meds for the rest of his life. I never want to go through this again. 2. Start vacuuming daily, and if you have a roomba, send that around too. Empty the vacuum OUTSIDE every time. It's also a good way to check your progress. 3. Brush your pet daily. I had a bowl of hot water with Dawn Dish Soap so they would die a hot soapy death. 4. Wash bedding every other day at least. (This has been the hardest, as I live in an apartment and have to pay for laundry, but you HAVE to do it) 5. Spray VETS BEST around the house every few days and then don't vacuum to let it sit. 6. If you can get rid of your rugs, I would...truly whatever gives your peace of mind, that's important. 7. CapStar! You can get it from your vet or way cheaper on Chewy. I wish I had known about this pill sooner. 8. I spoke with exterminators, and they said that they can come 'treat' the house, but given the life cycle of fleas, they'll have to come back again. Really the only thing you can do is vacuum. I like to think that over a month in a half in, I am almost on the other side and now am just maintaining to keep the next cycle at bay. I have used this product for years! It’s the best! Especially good as a fly spray for horses (and humans if you’re at the barn), mosquito repellent, ant killer inside the house. And it smells so good! It’s very economical too, a quart lasts a long time. FYI, if you want to fill smaller personal spray bottles, make sure to do it before screwing the sprayer on, as it will not come off again. I filled about a dozen small sprayers to take to an outdoor party, I put them in a basket for everyone to use. They were a hit! And no one got bit. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 ... show more

This is a good product to use on small areas. Nice to have a natural product available. In addition to using this product, i also found very helpful to:' 1. wash all the floors with dawn dish detergent. it was very helpful to eradicate many of the fleas and eggs. I continued with the washing frequently. 2. carpeted rooms: before vacuuming, add baking soda to the vacuum canister to kill the fleas and eggs. Wait a while before opening the canister for the baking soda to be effective. Also vacuum the car. 3. take empty cat/dog food cans and add water and dawn dish soap. Place the cans in different locations around the house. Have small pieces of tissue in different locations throughout the house to pick up any flea that are seen. Then place it in the can of water with dawn dish soap. (given how quickly they multiply, for every one that you pick up, you are doing prevention from many others hatching. It seems that the tissue paper works best to pick them up. They are too small to be picked up otherwise. 4. for bites: Lily of the Desert aloe gel is effective for soothing and healing. 5. I prayed to St. Francis of Assisi daily to remove the pests from my home and my nature creature. I would say all of the above accelerated the clearing process. It is now one month from the start of the infestation and the condition is 99% eradicated. ... show more

So far it’s been a week since I started using this product. It had a mild peppermint Oder if you spray a lot, could be overwhelming so just have that in mind. I had it before at my mom’s home but never really used it. I started to use a new bottle because my dog got really bad flea allergy and I started to spray some in her brush and then brush her with this spray. So far she has stopped itching at night time and she looks a lot more comfortable when going outside to pee. I don’t spray it directly on her based on the reviews here so she doesn’t get toxicity on her. It has been effective so far. The value of the money is fair and affordable. I haven’t seen fleas on her so far. I did however notice some would jump out and I’d find them on the floor but I made sure to spray the floor too and spread some baking soda. Great product! Horrible design for spraying. I've been using this product for years now, It kills on contact & does smells nice! (Unless you don't like mint lol) Problem with bottle is the newer design, the straw location is a problem. When you spray, your gonna spray at a downward angle. Problem is that the straw is in the back so when you try to spray it'll catch air & not spray properly. It's a huge hassle trying to fight with it, your better off buying a seprate spray bottle yourself. Worse it that you can't remove the nozzle after you put it on, it locks in. I have a bottle still half full & I literally have to put my husky on a table so I can properly spray him ( at a upwards angle SMH) ... show more

My dogs were recently found with fleas and i went them to get a haircut and new bath along with washing and clean the clothes to prevent these little fleas from getting on them but i could be from outside and when I would encounter one flea i would get the spray in a instant and directly apply it onto them because i thought this spray didn’t work but i was proven wrong flea died in a instant. make sure to flush or wash whatever you use to dispose these fleas ... show more
