  • good fit for a wide frame 6' 350lb guy
To start, the "room of choice" delivery option kept me from having to lug this beast up the narrow stairs of my apt building. Delivery driver called ahead of time to ensure I was available, which gave me the opportunity to talk him through my sometimes-confusing front door address location. I also liked being able to track the delivery in real time. Well worth the extra $ in my opinion. Packaged nicely to prevent any damage. Assembly would have been super easy if all of the bolt holes had been aligned properly. I'd call that a manufacturing near miss. One of four bolt holes on both the seat mechanism mount to seat base, and the seat back to base reclining brackets, were slightly misaligned. The first was easy to work through since I could see the holes and threads. the second, not so much. I spent nearly 1/2 hour messing around trying all I could to get things aligned. Finally, I had to power through and use force to get the screw to start and tighten. I was afraid it might be cross threaded or pull the threads out of the hole. Fortunately, the material was heavy-duty enough to withstand this treatment and I finally had it completely assembled (only used what was provided in the box). After about a month of constant use, the product is doing well. I like the adjustability of the arm rests, but not the design of the pad. The 3 outer edges of the arm rest pad are tapered nicely. The inner edge, however, doesn't have a taper, but a squared drop with a slight groove. Whether this was an intentional design to give it a certain appearance or a manufacturing misstep, it makes my forearms uncomfortable when resting and scratches when sliding them into place. I don't consider it a deal-breaker, but might become irritated enough to cut this edge into a taper by myself in the future. All of the adjustment options are great but would have liked to see more tension available in the rocking tilt. The lumbar cushion is a perfect fit but the adjustment straps have to be intertwined with the neck cushion strap in order to stay in place, which causes the neck cushion to pull downward. I would also comment that the neck cushion isn't quite thick enough for some of my resting positions. Overall, even after all of my complaints, I am glad I bought this chair. I've suffered through the cheap desk chairs available at box stores for far too long. I've researched some really nice heavy-duty gaming chairs but just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for my first attempt into the heavy-duty products. The price I paid for this chair and the satisfaction I have with this product after the first month of use give me cause enough to this product my 2 thumbs up👍😁👍stamp of approval. ... show more

  • Not for me + came broken.
I'll be returning this ASAP. As you can see in the pictures, it came out of the box with the crank to adjust the tilt tension completely snapped off the assembly. The plastic used for the levers is pretty basic, and it probably happened during shipping. It's far from my only beef with this chair. For me, the chair even at its lowest point sits too high for both my current setup AND my actual body. With the tilt lock flat, It's basically almost right at the feet on the ground position, which I already don't like personally and prefer to be lower to the ground. If I tilt it back one notch and lock it, it's a comfortable sitting angle, but my feet don't even fully touch anymore which makes it very uncomfortable. I had a backup plan of setting it on the floor without the wheels on it, but the cylinder in the middle comes down lower than the base, so that's not possible. The swivel also didn't feel right. When I'd turn either direction, while the unit still felt solid with no shifting or clicking, I could noticeably feel a slight lean in either direction. To be fair, it's sturdy. I'm north of 350lbs and when I sat in it it had no give, no creek, nothing. Definitely supports larger people. Honestly, if it had the ability to sit lower... much lower... I would probably have just kept it even with the broken part. But alas, it's already been taken apart and re-boxed ready for return. Note: If anyone from Vertagear reads this, no, I don't need replacement parts, I'm definitely not keeping this chair. ... show more

  • Support is Great
Color: Black/Camouflage
Had the chair for a little over three years. Working from home for the last 2 (thanks COVID!) so the chair has seen use. I gave 4 stars because I too had the stitching at the front corners of the chair starting to come apart and a week or two ago I leaned back during an exceptionally boring meeting and POP!. The connection point where the back meets the seat on the right broke or popped out of place. The chair was listing to the right and after turning it over I found the rear of the frame was now bent. Thats the bad. The good is I contacted support and a couple of emails back and forth, a few pics of the damage, and 4 days later I have a new seat show up at my house. Replaced it and the chair is like new. Bottom line. Its not the best chair in the world, but the support is great if something goes wrong. ... show more

  • Guess it's my turn to deal with customer service
Color: Black/Camouflage
This is a day one review, I will amend it as things progress. Overall I would give the chair a 5 star review. I find the chair to be very comfortable so far, I spent most of the day in it yesterday and never really experienced any discomfort. The only thing I would like is for it to go a little lower. My major complaint and the reason for the 3 star review is the lumbar pillow doesn't have straps like the chair pictured and everyone I have seen in YouTube reviews. It flops down every time I get up and it's pretty annoying. I had a little difficulty installing the back on one side I got one bolt in and couldn't get the other one in. The hole was about half the diameter off from the braces on the bottom. I fought with it for a bit and was able to make it work eventually but I though I was going to have to elongate the hole. I have to give Vertagear props for including a T-Handle and not some crappy allen wrench for assembly, that was a nice touch. The instructions are very easy to follow, could use a little larger font but maybe my old eyes are going bad. All in all I hope this chair last for a while, I may buy one for my office at work. The $750 Hon they bought me is killing my butt after a year. 03/19/20 Vertagear responded to me within a couple of days and sent me a cushion with straps that just got here today. 12/12/20 I've been working at home since the Shanghai Shivers started to take off. I spend at least 10 hours a day in this chair and have had no problems with it. About once a month I'll have to go on a little walk about to get some blood flowing. I couldn't be happier with this chair. I will buy one again if it fails. ... show more
