  • This thing is a winner
Style: Primary
Love this thing - perfect on my teardrop camper. I rarely use the poles and just have the other end staked in the ground - creates privacy this way and since I’m only 5’1” it works perfectly for me set up this way. I’ve been in rain storms and had my electric bike completely sheltered by this awesome product. Use it every time now and it’s simple and quick to set up. Quality has held up / suction cups absolutely suck so plan to get better ones or use strong magnets. ... show more

  • Worth every penny

This awning saved our recent week of offroad camping. It works really well as designed but we used it on the ground sideways (like a curved wall) to block the cold wind as we huddled around an LP firepit. Once staked down, it can handle an impressive amount of wind. I only wish we'd had another one to block the wind from 2 sides! It goes together in about 2 minutes and back down just as quick. It packs away nicely in a small bag. I replaced the cheapo guyline ropes with 550 cord and I haven't messed with the suction cups. I love the versatility. This trip wasn't the first time we used it but with a little creativity it really shined on a couple of cold, windy nights. Every other member of our group vowed to get one of their own before our next adventure. ... show more

  • Provides good shade
Style: Primary
I ordered this canopy to use at Scent Work dog trials. The poles that come with it are rather cheap, as well as the suction cups, one already broke. There is a small hole in the fabric as well. However, for what I need it for I will use my own current tent poles and suction cups purchased on Amazon previously. The tent itself was not too difficult to put together, by myself it took me about 35 minutes, that includes getting it on my vehicle. The “directions”, well don’t count on those, there is a nice man on YouTube, who put together a little video on this exact tent, and how to put it together. I suggest you look it up. There are some things in the bag that I am uncertain as to what they’re actually used for, but it’s of no matter to me. I hope it will work for what I need it for. ... show more

  • Versatile and Works Well for Our Teardrop Camper
Style: Primary
I searched high and low for the right canopy or awning for our teardrop trailer with a back clamshell kitchen. This was a good choice for us. It's incredibly lightweight and fits under our beds in the trailer. It was easy to set up and very sturdy once we determined how to affix it to our camper. The instructions are not very useful and kind of unreadable. But since each car or camper is different, you kind of have to figure it out on your own anyway. The actual awning has 3 elastic tent poles and is nicely constructed. The end poles have ingenious clips which keep them together, but are removable so you can adjust the height. We have used it in sun and rain and it's held up well and kept us cool and dry. It was a breeze to put away for next time. It's a good, versatile awning for multiple uses. ... show more

  • I love mine!
Style: Primary
Affordable and functional alternative if roof mount overlanding awnings are not an option (my lifted truck only has 1/2" clearance for the garage opening so rack mounts were not an option). Can be confitured/mounted in numerous different ways off the side or rear of your vehicle. Abundant overhead clearance with provided poles- I'm 6' tall and no ducking to get under and also offered plenty of room with my tailgate hatch open that is about 80" high. When leaving the campsite in the truck, we would unhook it from the tailgate and steak the end without poles down in a "lean-to" fashion to keep our gear dry when we drove out to explore. Rained off/on for the whole weekend during our first time use and shed water great- no pooling anywhere and kept us and our gear dry. Definetely practice setting up in the driveway and experiment with the different ways to mount and secure. The end poles require 2 guy lines for the max stability. Breaks down about the size of a 1 man tent and lightweight- guy lines have reflective threads woven in so at night with a lantern/light on you wont trip over them. Especially great if your truck is rigged for sleeping inside- gives you more cover/privacy depending on how you set it up. ... show more

  • A bitter disappointment
Style: Primary
In theory, I liked it. But even the best ideas, when made with shoddy material, won't work. I have a picture the first time I used it, and it already had holes in it. But they were minuscule mostly, and I decided to overlook it because I wanted to go freaking CAMPING. Big mistake. This week I took my 91 year old dad camping and the thing just would not cooperate. You would get the suction cups affixed, and the poles would come apart. So you put the poles back together, and the suction cup popped off. It made me want to cuss, and almost made me hate camping. This week the seams ripped and it wouldn't hold the poles and so I trashed it and felt good doing it. But no product should make a person hate camping, and this one about did it, I'm sorry. You can do whatever you want, but I wouldn't buy this again, no way. ... show more

  • Great design, horrible poles
Style: Primary
I was looking for an easy up shade canopy for my tear drop camper. While the design shows it being used off the back, I use it off the side. The set up is easy with the 3 pole design. I use my own telescopic aluminum poles instead of the included steel ones. The canopy is great in terms of size and is great for my use. However, after the first use, the middle pole, which was already questionable fiberglass when I first pulled it out of the package, had a section split. I contacted the seller who stated they would replace it right away. It's been over a month and even after a few more contacts with the seller, I'm still with a broken middle pole. The product is GREAT....except for the quality of the fiberglass poles. For the higher price over similar canopies, I expected a better product. ... show more
