I was a less satisfied once this was set up mainly as it comes across more cheap than I expected. I must not of read the description fully as I thought the kegs were wood but they are metal with a “wood like” finish. The lamp shade feels cheap mainly due to the plastic trim. It was fairly decent to put together. But again some things that would improve the quality is for the shape to matches end more seemlessly and the wire to be more hidden within the legs. With all that said, I’m keeping and will look for a new lamp shade as it does provide nice light so it does the job. ... show more

The lamp shade came folded. You had to put it together using two hoops, with the lamp shade havimg a Velcro part to attach both sides. The rubber lining that attached to the hoops were warped on my purchase making it difficult to put the lamp shade together. The lamp shade was created from being folded, it is one long strip that attaches with Velcro. Putting it on, the lamp shade was crooked so I thought I'd adjust it a little. This broke the plastic piece that screws in over the lamp shade before the bulb. My fault, but I wish it weren't plastic. This did not come with a light bulb. I typically buy lamps from Overstock and they always came with lightbulbs. The lighting is a cooler blue white shade because of the lamp shade. Not the warm glow I was hoping for. Lastly, the "sturdy" iron legs are flimsy wood imitation metal legs that budge easily when touched. The design of this lamp leaves plenty to be desired. I seldom write reviews. I'm really unhappy with this and wish I spent the money towards something of better quality. Buyer beware. ... show more

It's an attractive lamp and definitley makes any room look updated, but the product is not made well and the wiring is questionable. I would say only buy this lamp if you're handy and skilled at making adjustments to things. As soon as I put the shade on, the bulb housing came loose and the light went out. Had to take it apart and mess with it to make the wires connect again. Pain in the neck! Now I'm afraid to even touch it. Be advised, the legs are aluminum, not wood. The paint job is not great but the flaws are hard to spot unless you get up close. Assembly was easy, but I've assembled many things over the years and it may be more difficult for others. Read the instructions or you might miss the step where you need to remove the coupler on the bulb housing (then your shade will be crooked!) ... show more

Wow wow wow. This lamp far exceeded my expectations. The frame is all metal and easy to assemble. It's also incredibly light — you can easily lift the whole lamp with one hand. Yet it feels sturdy. No wobble. Note: the legs are locked in at a certain angle. No option to squeeze them together or expand. The shade is bigger than I envisioned but lovely. With the light on at night, the black fabric lets a fair amount of light through, makIng it look a kind of gray. Most of the light spills out the top and bottom, however. Works with my Philips Hue bulb. Cord management built in. Would recommend. ... show more

Fantastic lamp providing lots of light. Exactly as others say, the legs are metal though no one can tell, they look like wood. Sturdy. please note the size - this lamp is humongous - it is too big for our apartment living room but we are keeping it as it gives it so much light. It really absorbed the entire corner of a room the way a small reading chair would - that is how large it is. If you do not live in SF or niece where apartments are tiny it will not be an issue. thanks ... show more

I love this lamp, I really do, however the lamp shade that is sent along with it is THE MOST ridiculous thing ever. The lamps legs are easy to assemble, but it took two of us to put the shade together! (I’m not sure if mine was not made correctly or it had been damaged) One person held the wires while the other mushed and rolled one wire into the “tubing” at a time. Not only was the tubing not big enough to cover the entire wire, the tubing didn’t even reach to the end of each end of the shade. I decided to hot glue it to make sure it doesn’t come out. Lmao the shade itself is a joke, and be prepared to have an extra hand for help. Overall after getting it put together I am happy with it, but definitely think they skimped on the shade, it could be bigger and could definitely be a higher quality for the price. So I definitely think it’s overpriced, and I will be spending even more to get a better and taller shade. Do yourself a favor buy one somewhere else. Oh and FYI the shade’s seem looks very bad (Velcro material) ...thankfully I bought it for a corner of my living room so that the ugly seem is facing the corner away from view. ... show more

This is a nice contemporary style lamp with a large white drum shade. The lamp is somewhat difficult to assemble. They include a tool for the assembly but its not long enough so it is challenging to get the tripod legs assembled. The shade must also be assembled. Once the shade is attached to the included shade frame you close it at the back with an attached velcro strip. However, the velcro strip is glued to the shade fabric and the velcro tends to pull loose under the stress of overlapping the ends because the shade isn't quite long enough. Nice lamp but needs some improvements in design. Would not buy again nor recommend ... show more
