A touch of luxe at a fraction of the “name brand” stores. Easy assembly, but suggest two people; one to hold the large seeded glass lamp, and one to arrange the metal tubes in position. Gorgeous lamp is SO WELL PACKED (box within a box, surrounded by styrofoam blocks), you WILL need something to leverage out the industrial size and hefty staples out of the packaging, holding the exterior box in place. Box and contents weigh 25 lbs. Cord is already pre-positioned in the tubes, just pull cord through the bottom base to straighten and allow the position of the stand (tubes). Well-balanced base, clear cord. I am having the plug in replaced with a flat plug in for my personal aesthetics. Bulb (not included) is a standard E26 base and there are many decorative bulbs readily available everywhere. Max 60 watts (and that’s bright,). Enjoy. I love this floor lamp. ... show more

I love it. Great light and really elegant. It did require two people attaching globe to base because it is very heavy. Other than that it was easy. I love the step on switch. Makes it so easy. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this lamp!! The finish is a smooth, matte dark brown, which goes with just about any style. The glass shade is thick and beautifully shaped. This design complements any design from traditional to farmhouse, eclectic to classic. The base is wide (and heavy) and the rod with arch is very straight. This piece hangs perfectly over the back or side of a chair. At the lowest, the shade is about 46-47” off the floor. Keep it off the chair just a bit and there’s little risk of bumping your head. Assembly is quite easy and it’s packaged very carefully. It should be able to handle being bumped around during shipping without any problem. The price was phenomenal! Seriously looks way more expensive than it was, and I am a designer. The biggest challenge I had with this beautiful lamp was deciding which room I wanted to use it in the most! First lamp came broken, replacement took over a week. Glass has deep scratches that I could not get yo show up on a photo. Warning label stuck to front of docket cover, can't turn with out risk of breaking. It really is a pretty lamp if it wasn't all scratched up.
