Great Vest. I used in in temperature hunting that was 4 degrees and was able to heat my core under my insulated jacket. Neck and back stayed warm. Jacket is great quallity and looks nice. Only downfall is battery life. Venustas batteries are very expensive and I tried to order other brands and they did NOT fit the Venustas type plug.

The vest seems well made. It fits well. It's nice and toasty when activated. But it has 2 problems. First and biggest, I'm not sure who decided where to place the battery pocket, but they made a mistake. The battery brick sits right in the small of your back, which means if you sit in any hardbacked chair of any kind, your back gets very uncomfortable, very quickly. Why isn't it on the FRONT of the torso? In a chest pocket next to the operating switch, for example? The second problem is that operating switch. The LED in it is too bright. If you're outside after dark (when you might most wish to have a heated vest), the blue LED, in particular, keeps blinding your night vision every time it moves into the bottom edge of your vision. You pretty well have to wear something opaque over the vest. I give the vest 4 stars for its primary function, but with just a couple of small design adjustments it could have been a much better product.

I really loved this vest! I've recommended it to so many people I should get a commission... SADLY yesterday it died... the Venustas logo will just flash red every so often not heating any longer... I tried to charge to battery again but it was at 85% already, still the vest is dead... For that much money I'd hoped it would last longer. Not sure if I'll buy again or try another brand.
