- A tungsten grinding tool has 4 angled holes. 22.5, 20, 15 and 10 (45, 40, 30, 20 Tips Angle respectively). Precise control support grinds more perfectly tungsten angle tips. All holes are designed to touch the same height as the diamond wheel, no need to set repeatedly. The open design allows the grinding wheel to be easily installed and aligned. The sharpening tool also has tungsten cut-off port processing, which can cut the used balled electrodes for re-insert and grinding.

Seems a little expensive for such a little thing, but well worth it. I used to use a diamond disk mounted on the side of a grinder wheel. This is so much better in terms of speed and accuracy of the point. The cutoff to take care of removing contamination is also better than the way I used to just grind it off on a wheel. I bought a remanufactured battery powered dremel to mount it on permanently and the setup works very well. There are a lot of dremel clones that would have been cheaper , but they don't have the threaded head.

Being a hobby TIG welder I would use a benchtop grinder and a drill to sharpen the tungsten welding tips. It was messy and just did an okay job. I would have loved a professional sharpener but they are hundreds of dollars. I came across this and realized I had a Dremel lying around not getting much use so I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. I paid about $60 for it and it works like a charm. It's very convenient and a bargain compared to other options. The quality is very good. I used it today and had some of the cleanest welds I have had in a long time.

Not a bad little sharpener. The body is well machined and solid aluminum.. the instructions it comes with are horrible. Talks about installing o-rings and dust shield. Non of which come with or are part of this unit. Might have been for an older or newer design 🤔 But functions well. I sharpened 20 - 3/32 with no issue and quite fast. The diamond blades are on the cheaper side but do the trick. Nice part is if you do it over a bucket there is no shavings all over.

I originally was going to return this because I couldn't get it to work. The instructions are laughable; they would have been just as useful had they been written in Mandarin. I eventually figured out how to mount it onto my Dremel tool and adjust the grinding disc, and it works. The description makes you think you're buying a grinder; this is merely the attachment for a rotary tool. I can't speak yet to longevity.

I've had good luck with this. You do have to gentle inserting the tungsten so you don't apply too much pressure to diamond disk but other than that it makes a perfect grind!

Using on a cordless Dremel tool, makes sharpening tungsten fast and easy. Ruined first disc by using too much pressure. Now have the hang of it and it makes the job faster, keep it at the table and if I stick the electrode, I chkange it, let it cook then resharpen it.

The brass inserts are just the right size for brand new electrodes and they are sharpened in no time. The directions don't give any speed recommendations, but the lowest speed on my older Dremel seemed to work fine. The unit itself appears to be very sturdy and should last a long time. Resharpening used electrodes is somewhat more cumbersome. Even if the tip is not balled, they appear to expand just enough from heat that you can't fit them into the correct size insert anymore. You have to move up a size or two and grind the tip back down to a size that will fit in the correct insert. Not mentioned in the minimal instructions that comes with the unit.
