The chameleon color makes the rod look purple or blue depending on which way the light shines on it. It has the perfect balance between a strong stirdy back bone, while having just the right amount of flex for casting out far. I've caught several oversize redfish and black drum on it so and handed the fight and weight of the fish like a champ. Biggest black drum on this so far was about 49". It also has really good sensitivity for small fish and those sensitive bites you can sometimes get from slow eating and sketchy fish. Absolutely great value for the money. The guides are also very good. My only gripe about this rod is the plastic hook holder on the reel seat vs the normal wire hook holder attached into the rod, makes the hook slip out easy at times.

These rods are good work as they should but when they break Kast king will not honor the limited lifetime replacement warranty if you order from anywhere else but their site. And on their site it does not specify this. Somewhere this is hidden fine print I can’t find Like I said products do work just forget a warranty if you buy from Amazon or some where othe thank the lasting site

Ive fished for years all around the world and have spent huge amounts of money on name brand gear. I’m not sure how they produce this type of quality for this price but I’ll be looking into kastking products a lot more. I just ordered the matching reel from there website.

Hmm… this is a 60 dollar rod at most and even then an Ugly Stik Carbon or Elite is way better for the price, if at MSRP an Abu Garcia Veritas or BPS Fish Eagle 🦅 for 10 dollars more…. No contest.

I have to admit I have a soft-spot for KastKing products. Their products are excellent quality with budget prices. I have no idea how they do it, but I'm not complaining. This rod is very firm, and I use mine with non-stretching braided line and I feel every ripple as I reel it in. It's a long rod for me but it casts easily. This rod is finished in color-shift paint with a purple hue merging into blue. It's entire length is loaded with guides. The handle is a type of rubber with a nice grippy texture. The reel seat and locking mechanism is a simple plastic coarse screw lock. The hook keeper I would prefer to be a wire loop, instead it is a plastic semi-circle that seems too large for smaller hooks. Overall it is a great rod at a great price. If you can snag this rod with a coupon or on sale, don't miss out. I love 'em.
