What can I say, I love this bike. The quality of the bike is top notch, the welding is also high quality for anyone wondering. The fatty tires are nice and the black finished metal looks great. The bumps on the road and trails were pretty comfortable. The front suspension really does make a difference along with the fat tires the ride felt like butter. I haven't been on a bike in years and with knee & back issues I thought those days were gone until I got this bike, my first E-bike. I mostly ride it on level 1 assist which gives you enough assisst, on the hills I go as high as 3-4 depending on how steep it is, but once I'm back to a flat surface I go back to 1. I don't use the throttle but it works great got up to 20 miles on throttle alone and 28-29 with little work on my end. But I mostly just keep it around 10-15 miles on level 1 with minimal pedaling on my end. The gears make all the difference when going up and down hills after a few minutes I learned how to use them and because of gearing up or down I dont really feel the need to go on higher assist. Don't get me wrong I was sweating after my first trip and I did feel like I got a work out, but it was an easy, smooth work out. After 17 miles I still had over 90% battery so I can easily see getting way more than 40 miles in range. When using higher assist or throttle the battery range is less. If I was to use throttle only I would probably get 25 miles. My wt is about 280 and after researching tons of E-bikes I felt this was the right one for me. The motor has more than enough torque and umph! If your worried about the quality, power or the fact that it's not a name brand e-bike, Don't. You're getting more than what your paying for. The fenders could be more better aligned but thats really my only quam, definitely not a deel breaker. The seat is oversized and alright, I might upgrade that later. The leather on the handle bars, or I think its leather feels really good. I'm able to ride up right which is what I was looking for in a bike. The screen is nice, simple and in color, it works. The gears on mine needed tuning when I got the bike, but thankfully I had help from a bike fanatic reletive who tuned them up and gave me his seal of approval. The few videos I've seen on youtube do no justice. I absolutely love this bike and I'm looking forward to the start of a healthier life with a little help from this Velowave Prado S! ... show more

The bike came nicely packaged in the box, assembly was super easy, and the quality of the frame, paint, and welds are very good. The functionality of the bike is great with the front and rear rack. Throttle only speeds are limited to 20mph and faster on pas level 5 at 28mph. I like how the power is delivered very smoothly on pas as it powers you to top speed. The hydraulic disc brakes work very well as they stop me on full speed and loaded up with groceries. The tires have an aggressive pattern to them and are great on trails giving you a confidence when you need to turn on dirt roads. Range is ok with the small 48v 15ah battery as I got around 25 miles on top speed riding (28mph) but if you keep the speeds lower you'll increase your range. This bike isn't meant to ride fast all the time in my opinion so I'm happy with the range I'm getting with it. I really enjoy the mag wheels as they are basically maintenance free and give a cool look to the bike and more importantly a better feel to road conditions. Riding the Prado s is fun and visibility is great due to the riding position and higher bars. Overall great ebike and great value for the price. ... show more

    • Vary good bike, but not perfect. read to know how I Fixed it.
In my opinion this bike if vary good. I have 200 miles on it in just a few weeks of riding. First just know that I don't think the hub has a free wheel in it so it can be hard to pettle if you run out of power. But this is not a big deal as I have yet to run out just found this out when I bumped the power off. The next part is a bigger problem. Im a heavy guy nearly 300 LBS I kept having issues with the tires coming off of the rear rim. The bead would come off unless I over filled the tire. And then the tire would pop after a few miles. I had to go though a few bike tires before i found a solution. I want to say Veleowave made a good effort to try to fix it by sending me a new tire but I ended up having to fix it myself with a out of the ordinary solution. I ended up putting a motorcycle tire on the rear only , not the front that doesn't seam to have this issue. I ordered a 100/80-16 tire and the apporate tube 3.00/3.50-16. There are up sides and down sides but for me it is a much better solution. one down side is a motorcycle tire is 2x a heavy so you will be adding an extra 6 lbs to the rotating assembly. it will change the way the bike handles. also it will make you pedals come about 1/8 of an inch closer to the ground, not a huge deal but can make it a little easyer to strike the pedals on the ground when turning, but not by much. That said the tire is far more durable then a bike tire. And as it holds onto the rim differently then a bike tire (bicycle tires use a bead grove) I don't have to worry about it coming off even with only 6 to 15 lbs of pressure in it. putting on the tire is difficult but as the mag wheel this bike uses has a dip in the middle of the rim any person that has ever changed a semi truck or car tire by hand has the necessary experience to do this. it involves stepping on one side of the tire while using spoons to get the bead over the rim edge. And use a rag with soapy water on the bead to make it easy. Just be careful to not pinch the tube with the spoons. Again I am of the opinion that this is a vary good bike. But I believe that the weight limit is ether overstated or the rim doesn't have a deep enufh bead groove on it. I've seen a few others make this complaint. I hope this helps others that may run into this problem. lastly to Velowave: if you chose to fix this small issue I hope you can keep the dip in the middle of the rim to allow customers to use a motorcycle tire as a alternative upgrade to bike tires. ... show more
