I've always used Maybelline waterproof mascara, but they keep discontinuing the ones I like. Also, I had a hard time finding brown-black, and I'm super fair, so black mascara looks a bit harsh on me. Amazon cancelled my regular Maybelline subscribe and save, so I was in the market for a new mascara, and saw this brown-black waterproof mascara had good reviews. But I was super annoyed when this arrived, as I thought I was getting waterproof mascara and what showed up was NOT waterproof. And yet, it turned out it was more smudge resistant than my supposedly waterproof Maybelline ones. So it stays on better when I want it to stay on AND comes off easier when I want it off. First I tried the Waterproof varieties of mascara from several companies, but I found they often were too difficult to remove without damaging my eye lashes, even when I used make up removing pads. This product, however, is my favorite because it is smudge resistant and does not come off until I am ready for it to at the end of the day. It doesn't smear and leave black under my eye. Have used this for years, and always love it! I have very long lashes, and get a lot of compliments. People often ask what mascara I use, and am always happy to tell them it's COVERGIRL Professional Remarkable. Great price, and grerat product! Never clumpy, doesn't flake, or smudge, and removes gently and easily with soap and water. It isn't waterproof, but doen't come off when my eyes water due to seasonal allergies. After returning to Great Lash for a bit, I kept noticing consistent smudging and racoon eyes appearing after all day wear. I searched for a smudge proof mascara in the search bar and this one appeared. I'm glad I went with it. I won't wear waterproof as a general rule, as I find it too difficult to fully remove, but this mascara, despite not being waterproof, has great wear and I don't find too much difficulty removing it fully. Dark brown colors are harder to find at most retailers (most carry black SKUs) so happy to find this here. ... show more

I am so happy to see this back on the market as I couldn't find it for several years. Have been using for a long, long time happily. Having had to use other kinds for a few years, I am in so happy to have this back. It works great - not a thick, glamorous mascara but does the job and looks natural. (use it on the eyebrows now, too) Best thing about it is how easy it is to remove. Wash your face at night and it's off. Next morning, no raccoon eyes. The other kinds I've used always had leftovers the next morning. Don't like that swimming around on my eyes all night! ... show more

I hope they make this mascara forever! I love it! I work in the food industry and usually a few hours into my shift, my mascara is everywhere but on my eyelashes. This stuff is smudge proof, which I had a hard time believing even after a few days of wear, but it’s true! It withstands all the temperature changes, the long hours, and all the things we deal with in between. The only negative comment I have is I had a rough morning recently and cried off all my mascara. I’ve worn waterproof forever and kind of expected at least some of it to stay on, but it says straight on the package that it isn’t waterproof, only smudge proof. So I attached a couple pix to show that you can layer this mascara for dramatic lashes, or do one or two coats for a lighter look. ... show more
