I’ve had 4 fountains now and this one is by far the best quality. It comes with extra filters and a mat for the fountain. The edges of the metal are smoother and won’t cut you like the others will. All the parts are stainless steel for east cleaning the size is larger than other fountains but not too big. It’s quiet when running and my cats love it. Our cats were hesitant at first, we removed the fountain and they started drinking after a few hours of investigation. After a week we attached the fountain and they took about an hour to get used to it. Now they love it, and so do we! No more nasty water bowl to clean out daily. Works perfectly and super easy to assemble. The noise level is very low, all you hear is trickling water. The pump is very quiet. Good quality and not expensive, just buy it. ... show more

upgraded from a plastic water fountain. this one is soo much easier to take apart and put together. so easy to clean!! the quality is amazing i love it, its kind of fragile but just be careful with it and it’ll be okay. it comes with its own little mat to set under it that’s silicone, i love it. the light on it is very bright and cute! my cat definitely drinks more water with this fountain than the plastic one, i think it keeps the water cold and more fresh than the plastic one honestly but i’ve definitely noticed he's drank more water with this fountain. when you first put it together it’s kind of loud but after its running for a few hours the sound dies down. ... show more

Excellent product for your pets. Most of the time your pets don't drink enough water especially if you feed them dry food. The flowing water and lighting almost attracts them, as well as natural instinct of drinking flowing water kicks in. The stainless steel is what I went with for the cleaning and it looks nice too. Cleaning is quick and easy. Just taking the components a part, remove the pump and you can simply wash everything and rinse the pump and filter. Overall I'd say get one your pets will love it. This is my second the first got damaged, but I did have it a year or so before it got destroyed. ... show more

I've purchased other "plastic" Veken fountains & recently switched to the all stainless steel one. I am Absolutely happy that I made the switch because it is so much easier to clean & healthier for my kitty!!! However, I am Very disappointed that the lightbulb died already! It died over a month ago & I thought I'd be able to deal w/it, but It's very hard to see the water level without it! Hence why I'm finally writing a review. I have never had a light bulb die in my previous fountains & they lasted forever! I looked to see if I'm able to replace the bulb, but can't find that info anywhere. I'm not going to be happy if I have to purchase a whole new pump for such a short usage period especially if they keep going out! I also can't find where to contact Veken direct for questions & help w/this matter? I'm happy to change my star ☆ review if & when I can get someone to help me w/this matter. *** UPDATED REVIEW ~ I am VERY SATISFIED as they contacted me for a FULL REFUND so I can repurchase a new one! Even though the lughtbulb doesn't work in the first one, I will donate it to a cat rescue in need ♡ I sincerely appreciate the quick response & solution to this issue! This works super well, is very easy to assemble following the instructions and holds a huuuge amount of water! Got it for my 4 cats and they are still getting used to it but the transition is going well, I’ve spotted 2/4 using it so far so I’m hopeful. Water comes out great, is completely quiet, looks sleek on the floor and the cord is long so you’re not totally limited. I prefer a fountain to a bowl of water for my cats, and we've had many different styles over the years. This combines all my favorite features, and added some new ones. When we moved and lost track of our present one, we ordered this in case it took a while to find it. I'm glad I did. It's an upgrade! I really like the flower shape on the top, and my cats seem to prefer this kind of gentle flow to drink from. Our older stainless steel one has a pool with a bubbler in the middle, because moving water attracts them. But we can't tell what the water level is. This one has a gauge on the side. It's easier to keep it filled and fresh. Once it got settled in , it was SILENT except for the splashing water. Which is the Zen side of cat fountains for the people in the house. I placed it near the cat grass planter. Now it's always happy hour at their oasis. It should only be place where it gets indirect light, not sunlight, which encourages growth of things we don't want, like algae and bacteria. We fill from filter pitchers because it's hard water. This will also extend the life of the fountain's pump. WARNING: never run it dry. It starts as soon as you plug it in. I filled it halfway, assembled and put the top on, and then plugged it in. The remote on the side is for the blue LED light that lets us see the level, and can be easily turned off at night. Running water draws cats to sinks and bathtubs. It matches their instincts. So having an easy care fountain, with what looks a really good filter system, means this is the best one yet. Our old one still works, and will be set up in the living room, once our move is complete. Cats like to be with us. Having water handy works for everyone's enjoyment, and togetherness. ... show more
