You know what i hate more than anything? Chopping onions. No matter what, I am going to cry when I do it.. but enter the Vegetable chopper... NO MORE CRYING! These things are a lifesaver for chopping up a bunch of vegetables quickly and fast. The reason for 1 less star is worth mentioning - sure to clean very well before each use in the beginning. Box product arrived in was damaged. Part of tray was rubbed and plastic was melted to some extent in one spot but no hole worn through so I decided it was okay to use for my purposes … dicing & slicing primarily.

It chops!!! Blades are sharp. Gloves are great. However it doesn't chop easily and you will find black plastic pieces which is annoying. I cleaned with brush multiple times. I believe the blades are slicing pieces off of the top part which pushes food thru blades. Dishwasher safe.

This makes quick work of any vegetables, fruits or fingers you throw at it. When we first got it we immediately cut our fingers on the blades (not paying attention). The basket seems redundant but is handy for storing the parts you don't use often. The blades have a nice selection of cuts. It has a good sized mandoline but you won't fit Vidalias on it. It seems to go through the dishwasher well, which is a big deal in our house. Overall a good buy compared to others of its ilk. ... show more

100% would not recommend!!! Plastic pieces from the chopper come off while using. I used a few times to chop my baby's food (kiwi, tomatoes, and soft apples). The first few times I just thought it was seeds. Untill I looked closer and confirmed it was plastic. Disgusting and toxic. I am so upset, especially because I was feeding this to my baby. I will add that I never put this in the dishwasher; only hand-washed with warm, soapy water. ... show more
