  • This is "really" a great Cart / wheel barrel!
Style: 8-in-1 Aerocart Wheelbarrow
Ok, let me see if I can clear up a few things. First off, after reading quite a few of the reviews, I "almost" cancelled my order thinking I was ordering some sort of Children;s PlaySchool wheel barrel toy. I couldn't have been more wrong. Here's the unbiased truth on this cart. If you are a Construction Worker hauling bags of cement or really heavy materials in bulk, DO NOT purchase this item. This is for the typical home owner that not only needs a wheel barrel that is stable and easy on the back, but a tool that can also convert into something other than a wheel barrel like a dolly, plant lifter or stone hauler. I've had two back surgeries and even though I have healed up great, this little gem takes all the weight and I am no longer limited when it comes to landscaping. Sure, the actual cavity could have been a bit bigger but I think the designers looked at the average amount of material people actually put in the "well" area and settled on an ergonomic design that really takes the stress off your back. I am 6'7" and the way this thing is built with the handles tilted upward, makes lifting and letting the bucket / well down with ease. I've had bags of stone, sand, wood chips and such in it and it has plenty of room to get the job done safely. The metal is rugged and thick and I can already tell this unit is going to last a long time. Sure, my other wheel barrel was HUGE but since it was so big, I couldn't fill it to capacity without worrying about the darn thing tipping on me. As a former power lifter it is not a matter of strength but a matter of stability over terrain when in use. I read on one of the reviews that the bearings came off the plastic wheels? As a former engineer, you would of had to seriously overloaded this cart or tried to use the trailer hitch ball on something with a monster tongue weight to dislodge the bearings. The way I see it, using this cart in a "normal" fashion will provide years of care free use. The fit, finish, and quality of this cart is great, Yes, I am sure that occasionally there may be a defect from the factory for some people but when I looked my cart over in great detail, I found NO faults whatsoever. Even a brand new 100 million dollar aircraft has an occasional fault here and there, show me one product in history that hasn't. Truth is folks, this little cart is great and I was even able to hang it on the wall in my garage using the hole on the dolly tongue.Took all of ten minutes to put together and test out all the features. Plus, it really is nice to just use this whenever I want and not worry about having to pump up the air filled tires anymore like the one on my old wheel barrel. By the way, I didn't use my old wheel barrel that much so it sat in the garage for weeks on end but with the AeroCart, I use it for other functions quite a bit and I have since sold my old dolly, made a few dollars cash, and freed up some room in my garage, Would I recommend this? Darn right I would! ... show more

  • Great wheelbarrow!
Style: 8-in-1 Aerocart Wheelbarrow
This is a great cart, easy to assemble easy to use, narrow so it goes through narrow spaces. And it’s gorgeous to look at!

  • Great Product. Very Durable. But, Be Aware of Weird Warranty Policy
Style: 8-in-1 Aerocart Wheelbarrow
Got one last month, and my wife loves it. Used it on an outdoors work project this week. We actually saw this on one of those TV infomercials 2 weeks ago. PROS: Very well designed. It is pro quality, not cheap junk like many others. Very durable. Made to last Lots of great features and optional accessories. CONS: The main bed of the unit (the gray part) is pretty narrow and bowl shaped. This has some disadvantages and limits its usefulness. For example if you want to move boxes around, they are rectangular and dont fit into a bowl shape very well. A wider rectangular shaped bed would be an improvement in my opinion. The manufacturer offers a 3 year warranty that in my opinion violates the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act. (For this reason, I only gave them 4 stars instead of 5.) When you get the unit, the instructions and included postcard tell you in tiny print, that you get 3 years of warranty, IF AND ONLY IF, you register your serial number with the manufacturer and provide your name, address, etc. etc. This also means that you only get 2 years of warranty coverage if you DONT do this. I have read and researched the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act, which is a Federal law that has been on the books for decades, and it puts no requirement on the consumer to register for warranty coverage. But, lately many manufacturers have been using this same tactic. I lost 5 years of warranty coverage on a heat pump system by a famous air conditioning company and filed complaints with them and with two state attorneys general about this practice, so I find this to be a flaw. Also, when I called them, to try to register over the phone, they required the serial number off the label, even though I had bought this product from their Amazon store. I dont agree with that either. This is the WORX store, so either this is the WORX company, or some importer is using their name without their permission. To be clear, they consider a purchase on Amazon the same as if you bought their unit at Home Depot, and requires the extra registration and serial number info and all your personal info to get the full 3 year warranty. Having said that, I did go through H.D. this week and they are charging more in store for this same item. It's a great product if you dont mind the warranty hassle, and if the manufacturer is not selling my personal data to some mailing list. ... show more

  • Manuvrr
Style: 8-in-1 Aerocart Wheelbarrow
Fantastic size and clever factor. No regrets about purchasing - actually got a second one to keep at another property. I wished they spent a little more on finish or materials; item was on a covered porch in dry west Texas (though admittedly we had fog and a little rain that week) and it immediately got freckles of rust on many different t places. I don’t think it will cause usability problems but it’s immediately noticed by any friend I’ve wanted to show my latest gadget off to... I went to a local Home Depot thinking I might by a cart there and return the Amazon provided one. Unfortunately Home Depot has all their garden carts stored outside where I live along with all the other wheelbarrows and wagons. Under a cover, again all the units had very noticeable rust. A couple of months later I spotted the last four of the six units HD had at the beginning of the summer when I purchased mine. These were marked down under a hundred dollars on clearance and had unfortunately been changed together in the open air part of their garden dept and consequently were literally sitting in a giant orange puddle of rust water and anything that held water - like the plastic bag with accessories looked like greasy tortilla soup- if the Tin Man was coming over. I don’t know if that’s a change in quality of paint and or metal from the originals of several years ago or if they’d always been so susceptible to this. I’ve experienced a similar “downgrade” in quality when buying Worx’s Jaw Horse and purchasing another two years later. However, Worx claims they were focused on “improving “ the horse by making it lighter and cheaper and they aren’t wrong about that! Your mileage may vary. Or even be kilometers but my experience has been that the trade off for what were significantly less expensive second or third generation (bought around Blsck Friday at discount) was ok with me. I lusted after both these tools for years but never pulled the trigger knowing I had old school tools like my old wheelbarrow that did the job and therefore found the Worx premium price too much a risk inducing buyers’ “why am such a sucker” remorse and ultimately too much trouble when I could just pick up the latest Ryobi whatever when I “needed “ a new tool and easily return it if it was the rare misfire. The logic of which I still think was sound. But, I wish I had purchased the Aerocart years ago even with the rust issue- it’s fantasticly maneuverable in small city courtyards and easily shrinks down in clever ways for storage or to be put in a trunk. The garbage bag attachment, which I wasn’t interested in before , has become something I use often. I redid a small back yard for my my Mother at a townhouse with very restricted access and this worked so so much better than several other carts and wagons. A lot of what I used it for was moving 4 yds of 4-6” Mexican River Stones from a parking lot to her courtyard where I used it for ground cover and it’s metal construction and river tires combined with being almost like a dolly was perfect. My other favorite cart is (or was) the Mighty Max wagon which unfortunately my buddy overloaded and ended up snapping its high strengrh plastic body in half on a ramp - It has its own strengths though and I LOVED it for 3 years so it’s another possibility you should check out. ... show more

  • Delivers across the board on all claims
Style: 8-in-1 Aerocart Wheelbarrow
While this is not the best wheelbarrow, or best dolly, or best wagon, or best cylinder transport (and so on), it is a well designed and sturdy substitute for all of the above. It works really well right out of the gate and was very easy to assemble - mostly just snap together. Used it heavily for 2 days right after finally getting it and had zero complaints at that point. Money well spent and saves me some space as well compared to all the items it replaces. Update: going on one year later I have used this to haul gravel, topsoil, plants, rocks and other yard waste. Very sturdy and has exceeded my expectations across the board. After weeks of use, the platform for the dolly mode could be extended a few inches. The back of the dolly in that mode (the top of the bucket) is so smooth that some items slip to the side. A strap will fix this and hold items in place but simply making that piece of metal an inch or so bigger would certainly help. Not a big problem at all - this is a molehill, not a mountain and overall this is still a great product. I've also used it to haul tons (plural) of topsoil, many large rocks and a surprising amount of cattle compost. Again, it has delivered well on all of these tasks and has also held up to the strain of this workload. I was a little worried that this would be a light-duty type of tool but it has impressed me with its ability to take a full workload for week after week. ... show more

  • They Need a Much Beefier Model That Implements These Good Ideas With Much Better Specifications
Style: 8-in-1 Aerocart Wheelbarrow
I am very torn about how to review this product. On one hand, the concepts implemented in this product are extremely useful ideas. Having one tool that can act as a wheelbarrow, dolly, plant pot carrier, rock carrier, and garden supply bag stacker is extremely clever and useful. The problems are pretty straightforward: 1) The volume of material that this product can hold in the wheelbarrow mode is so small that it only has usefulness for very small home garden projects. If you are trying to haul a cubic yard of compost around your yard, this wheelbarrow is not large enough to make that task efficient. 2) While a total lifting capacity of 300 pounds is adequate for many garden projects, the rock carrier and the plant pot carrier are designed to only work up to 80 pounds. One cubic foot of stone is 100 pounds, so any decent-sized boulder in a home garden can easily go to 200 pounds. So on one hand they are giving you a genius feature to enable you to move pots and rocks, and then they immediately take that feature away from you by specifying the weights so low that most of the use cases cannot be serviced by the product. 3) The overall quality of construction suggests that this is for very light use at home. A product built like this would not last a month on most construction sites. I feel they need to come out with a beefier version of this product. Give us at least two or three times the volume. Raise the weight capacity to 500 pounds. Allow us to lift rocks and pots up to 350 pounds. Those would be useful specifications. ... show more
