The media could not be loaded. This is going to work great for my college kid. Essentially a stove that you can move to wherever you need it. It does get hot so I’m just making sure she knows not to put it on the carpet! So… testing it out… when I first started it, it made a really weird noise. Almost like a hissing noise?? The pan had some condensation building on it?? But it went away, so??????????? Let it cool and started it up again and NO noise this time. ??? It warns of a smell the first time using it, maybe it has something to do with that? No smell by the way. Tested boiling 4 cups of water and it took 8 and a half minutes. Not bad. Normal. The plate never turned red. You know how the stove glows red when it’s hot… so best to assume it’s hot if it’s out. Light that lets you know it’s on isn’t very bright. Really, I can’t tell it’s on at all, but I don’t really care about that. Overall, it works really well. Item is just as described. Yes, recommend.

This little guy is so convenient to use pretty much everywhere for me. Whether at home, backyard, when traveling or even camping as well. Not too heavy and does not take up a lot of space with its low profile. Made with strong corrosion-resistant cast iron heating elements and a Stainless Steel body for durability. The bottom does have non-skid rubber legs to keep it from sliding. the cord is not too long but long enough to use in most kitchens. This heating element does heat up really fast and takes about 20 minutes to cool down so just be extra careful when handling it. There is a little label sticker on the body to remind you that the Stainless Steel body can stay hot for a while even after turning off the cooktop, so just pay a little attention after use. Also, remember to burn in this unit before use, I left it on MAX Level at the back patio for at least a full 15 minutes as recommended so that the protective spray used to protect the cooktop during manufacturing is burnt off and the heating element settled before bringing it into the kitchen for use. It does give up a strong odor at first but after the 15 minutes burn-in period, the odor was gone. Other than that, this is a great portable cooktop to have around the house or when traveling. So I have been Fondue-ing over the last few days, and this cooktop is working great for that too with the adjustable heat levels. I am sure there are many other ways to use this cooktop as well.

I got this Vayepro Hot Plate for soap and candle making in my shop or elsewhere! This hot plate is a champ! It’s great looking and simple to control and turn off and on. This heats up quickly and boils water fast! This would be good anywhere you need a functional hot plate: dorm room, camping if you have an outlet. This baby can go anywhere you have power and so far it works very well! I am impressed. This isn’t very heavy and comes well packaged with instructions. This is easy to clean up and really looks nice. I love this and debated getting it and now I am so grateful that I did. Five Stars!

This burner does really get up to 1000 degrees Fahren height, which is great for a chief that knows how to cook that high but make sure you have a pan that can handle that kind of heat. I do which is why I got this burner, it did not disappoint. The one thing that I didn't much like is that you have to take it outside for it's first use to burn off some machine oil that is on the inside. It didn't take long to do but what if you lived in an apartment with no way to take it outside, it just seems poorly thought out to have left it on there to me. Other than that the burner has been great, it heats evenly and fairly quickly. Reaching the highest temps does take about 5 minutes. It does stay hot for a while afterwards so be sure to place it in a safe place where your not going to be getting on it right after your done cooking. It looks good and cleans up quickly, I give it five stars.

I got this for a little cabin that does not have a stove. The last hot plate wore out after years of use. This one works very well. It heats up quickly. I was able to boil water in a few minutes. The heating element is flat making it easy to clean. The heat level goes from 1 to 5. The MIN setting seems to be off, but I would always unplug the plate when not in use. The hot plate also stays hot for a long time after use similar to an electric stove. Overall this is pretty nice.

I love to cook in natural clay pots, but I've found no way to do so with my induction burners. This electric hot plate, along with a simmer mat, enabled me to cook in my beautiful unglazed clay pots. Food simply tastes better cooked in clay. This burner worked perfectly, and has a UL Listed sticker on it, which gives me confidence. They should point that out in the listing, as many people won't buy appliances that aren't UL Listed. The company is correct when they say these burners take a long time to cool down. An hour after turning mine off, it was still too hot to put away, so you should be aware of that factor.
